Found a tick in the early stages of attachment (I think). Help!

I felt a "scab" on my neck, and peeled it off with my fingernail, only to discover it was a tick. I have the tick still.

1- Where do I send the tick in for testing?

2- The tick definitely bit me, but the tick survived me pulling it off and appeared to have all body parts in tact. Does this reduce my risk?

3- Any other next steps I should take?

Thank you for listening.

Just got bit my a tick- what to do

Had a tick at the base of my neck. It felt like a scab, so I peeled it off. If I was able to dig it up with my nail/peel it off, do we think it was fully attached to me?

What are next steps? I heard PCPs are useless and I should find a specialist? Also, what resources have you used to "test" the tick? We still have it and it is in the freezer dying now.
