British cuisine is underappreciated
I know my culinary opinion may not hold much value to most, because I'm Dutch, and Dutch food is usually not particularly good. However;
Sunday roast is phenomenal,
English muffins are probably one of the tastiest forms of bread,
Crumpets are fantastic and have a perfect balance of flavors when you put jam and butter on them,
A full English breakfast is by far the most nutritionally complete, energy dense breakfast any person can wish for, especially on colder or rainy days,
Pies are a great and varied. Hearty and filling meals and small pies are a quick and easy, portable lunch,
Millionaire shortbread is perfect,
Worcestershire sauce elevates any savory meal on a rainy day,
Beans on toast look horrible but taste super good, and it's super easy to make and very nutritious.
However, in my opinion, fish and chips are just very mushy and greasy, and not that great. Especially with mushy peas, like who the fuck... The vinegar cuts the fattiness but turns the fries into slop. No. Sorry England. You do you
