First 3 cushion orders delivered! And the reviews are so good 😭❤️

I launched the cushion covers last month and delivered 3 cushion orders till now, and I'm happy to report that all the reviews were great! Looks like we have new products at our store after all :)

P.s. all of the orders were for filled cushions rather than the covers, so I'm guessing that's how everyone prefers buying these?

Durgapur is so pretty 💗

Durgapur has got to be the prettiest city to go on morning walks - especially after the rains. The greenery makes me feel like I'm in a fairytale 💗

Everything you need to organise your bag

I made this tote bag (first slide) for a girlie and it came out so pretty that everyone wants it!

The last slide is the cutest order I have ever made. She got a tablet sleeve, a book sleeve, a pouch for sanitary napkin, 2 specs holders and an airpod sleeve. Basically everything she carries in her bag will now be protected by our cute sleeves 💕

And how cute are the specs holders? I absolutely love this design 🫶🩷

Orders that I absolutely loved makingggg

Here are a few orders I dispatched this week, ones that I loved the most. The lavender sleeve and yellow pouch combination is my personal favourite 💗✨

Lemme know what you guys think 🩷💗

What would be the best way to list these?

I don't have these sleeves listed on my website because most of them are wildly customizable. For example, I let the client choose the base print, the ruffle colours/prints and ofcourse device sizes. Adding so many customisable options to my website is not possible for me right now since it's a pretty basic website.

However, I'm making a new website and thinking of making a "fabric library" and a "style of product" section, so that it's easier for everyone to browse the options and maybe they can take screenshots and dm me to confirm their orders! That'd make the process easier for both me and the client I guess?

Any suggestions are welcome 🫶

These became one of my best sellers!

I got a customisation request from one of my regular customers to make these journal sleeves, I love the idea and made a few and just like that they became one of our best selling products! I absolutely love staying organised and these help a lot with all its compartments 🫶🎀 lemme know what you think!

Ps. Ignore my photography skills I managed to click a few before shipping them 😭

I'm so frustrated with the courier services in India, which company do you use?

I have switched to 3 different shipping companies now and keep facing some or the other issue. With shiprocket, they were charging me 4 times the normal delivery charge with fake weight discrepancies. Then i switched to shipmozo and the first few months were fine, but now they've lost 4 of my packages and haven't compensated me for them and I have to call them almost everyday to solve fake delivery attempt issues.

So if you all have had a better experience with any shipping company, please help your girl out!!

If you've been waiting for Lyla & Rué to step beyond bags and sleeves... welcome home.

Finally adding Home products to our brand!!

I made these cute cushion covers and finally decided to add them to our store! Lemme know what y'all think of these 🤭✨

P.s. the heart covers can fit square microfiber cushions so you don't need a heart shaped cushion for these 💗

Sleeves or home products? Which one catches your eye the most?

I'm planning on launching a few home products next week and need your opinion!

I had made a few cushion and pillow covers in February and a lot of girls requested that I make them available for sale as well, after months of contemplating and planning, i finally decided to launch a few designs and test them out! What are your thoughts?

I was sad that I didn't get any bag from the savana sale, then I remembered I make these bags so who cares 😆🫂✨

Lyla & Rué started with these bags! And Rufflina bags and Lolita bags are still our best sellers.

In the last few months our brand has moved towards gadget sleeves due to higher demand, but this is where it all started!

Did you know? Lyla & Rué started as a brand focussed mainly on bags! And our Lolita bags and Rufflina bags are still one of our best sellers! And how adorable is the Puffer bag?

Over the last few months my brand has shifted more towards gadget sleeves due to the high demand, but this is where we started!

181 orders in 2 months! Feeling grateful for all the support 🫂

I started posting on reddit in mid April and i got such a beautiful response from all of you! Thanks for supporting my small business, I couldn't have done it without y'all!

To answer a few questions I have been getting, most of my products are not added on the website because they're customisable - sizes, prints, designs - everything is customisable so it's difficult to take orders via website. Also, i run out of prints pretty fast so updating stock on the website is very difficult.

So if you want to order something, just dm me and I'll help you through the process!

181 orders in 2 months! Super grateful to everyone for the huge support 🫂

The last 2 months have been crazy hectic for me! And in the happiest possible way! Thanks to this reddit community as well for supporting me so so much! I have only been using this platform for a month and a half but the support I have seen here is unmatchable 🫂💗

To answer a few questions that I keep getting, I don't add all my designs to the website because firstly they're customisable - sizes, prints, designs - everything is customisable so it's hard to list them on the website. And secondly, I run out of the prints very fast! So updating them every time on the website would be very difficult!

Just a few basic designs that are always available are added on the website and to order anything else, you can dm me I'll help you with your order 🫶

Here's why I started launched fabric coasters

As a fashion design student, I have always felt super aware of how harmful fabric waste is for our environment. Tonnes of fabric waste is dumped on the surface of our earth every year. I know I can't change how the fast fashion world works - but I always knew if I ever started my own brand, I'd not contribute to the growing fabric wastelands.

When I started Lyla & Rué, I had a lot of small fabric leftovers that I kept saving - never knowing what to do with them. So I looked up scrap fabric projects and launched these cute coasters. And they have been a favourite of my customers ever since!

Also, the fabric wastes that are not at all usable, I shred them into tinier pieces and use them as pillow/cushion fillings.

Hahah i just saw i mistyped the title! It was supposed to be "here's why I launched fabric coasters" I'll go dig myself a hole to live in now lol
