Sinus surgery recovery

I had bilateral FESS and an inferior turbinate reduction almost six weeks ago. My recovery has been slow but overall has been going well, and over the last two weeks I was feeling about 80% back to normal. Over the last three days though, I’ve developed a lot of dull, tight pain and pressure, mostly in my forehead and between my eyes. My breathing is great and I’m not congested at all. I’m still doing saline irrigations 2-3 times a day. The only other symptom I’m having is some post-nasal drip. I’m just wondering if this can be a normal part of the healing process. With the holiday weekend I won’t be able to speak to my ENT for a few days.

FESS recovery

Has anyone else experienced something like this around the six week mark? I’m just wondering if this can be a normal part of the healing process.

FESS question

I had FESS and a turbinate reduction five days ago (no septoplasty). I’m curious what to expect at my first post-op appointment with my ENT in two days. My congestion has improved a bit, but I’m still feeling a decent amount of off and on forehead/sinus discomfort.

FESS recovery question

I had FESS and a turbinectomy this morning. Overall today honestly hasn’t been too bad. Mostly soreness and pressure in my nose and between my eyes. I actually haven’t been very congested and haven’t had much bleeding from my nose either.
One thing I have noticed, though, is a lot of postnasal drip and some blood draining down the back of my throat. I know that’s pretty normal, but I was surprised since I haven’t really had much bleeding from my nose itself. Just curious if anyone has advice on how long that usually lasts or any tips that helped during recovery.

Nervous about FESS

I’m having FESS surgery next week (and possibly a septoplasty, though my doctor said he doesn’t think he’ll end up needing to do one), and I’m a little nervous. I’ve never been under anesthesia before, and I’m also anxious about the recovery. I’ve heard mixed things, so I’m just curious to hear from anyone who’s gone through it!

I’m 32 years old and I recently had lipoprotein(a) checked due to family history and it came back at 388 nmol/L (lab reference high >125). I’m otherwise healthy, exercise regularly, and currently on Mounjaro (for PCOS). No smoking history. I’ve always had good blood pressure. I made the mistake of Googling and now I’m pretty anxious about what this means long term. I have a follow up appointment with my PCP next week to talk about the results but just wondering if anyone in a similar situation has any advice.

32 year old female. recently had lipoprotein(a) checked due to family history and it came back at 388 nmol/L (lab reference high >125). I’m otherwise healthy, actively losing weight, exercise regularly, and currently on Mounjaro (for PCOS). No smoking history. I’ve always had good blood pressure. I made the mistake of Googling and now I’m pretty anxious about what this means long term. How concerning is a level this high in someone my age, and what are the typical next steps doctors usually take after a number like this? I know that it’s genetic and there’s not much to do for the number itself.
