HELP! Authentication Confirmation
Hi there,
I’m thinking of purchasing this M40 Luftwaffe helmet. SE60, batch number 10029. I think it looks really good and check outs, but of course with any purchase of this cost, I always want a 2nd opinion. The paint, the wear, the damage on the decal, and looking at the high resolution photos at the damage on the decal makes me confidence that its original wear as well as original decal. The only think that makes me a bit worried, is on the bottom side of the border of the eagle, where I thought should be bordered in black there seems to be white border beyond the black, this only appears on the bottom side of the eagle, refer to the photos, hopefully is high resolution, so should be clear. I don’t know if this is normal, as I’ve not seen this before. I’ve posted it in other forums, and I’ve been told it’s a simple misprint or application mistake. And the left claw clutching the swastika, some have mixed opinions, I believe it’s just damaged, making the talon look abnormal. Encircled.
This helmet is priced at £995, is this a helmet I should invest in?
