Fabric for maid outfit
Hi, so I am a scare actor and this is the first year I have to make my costume for the scare season from scratch. I was assigned to wear a long Victorian style maid outfit but sadly the premade costumes my employer has do not fit my upper torso. So, I have to make it myself! I’ve never ordered fabric before, and am still quite new at sewing clothing specifically. I would greatly appreciate if I could have some recommendations on a black fabric that would be breathable, retain its shape and not shrink, and comfortable to wear. I have the apron, I just need the actual dress. I would also appreciate some recommendations for the white collar and sleeves.
So ultimately, what kind of fabric would be the best fit for my costume? And where would I find a good quality version? Thank you for reading this
