Strategy on pulling some cash out.
I am long on AAPL and short on NFLX. I’m looking to pull about 20K out of my brokerage and I’m trying to figure out the tax implications and various strategies that I should consider. Each holding has what I’m looking to pull. AAPL has a total cost basis of 15k and NFLX is at 28k. AAPL has been very profitable for me over the years while the NFLX deal falling through has me in the red about 8k.
What would be my options and things I should consider?
