LGBTQ Brazilians: Is it ok for non-Brazilian (/non-Portuguese speaking) LGBTQ people to use the term 'b*cha'?

So I'm starting to do drag and was thinking of using the drag name 'Bicho de Clark'. This is because I'm a big fan of Lygia Clark, Hélio Oiticica and the Neo-Concrete art movement, and wanted to incorporate aspects of Clark's Bichos and Oiticica's Parangolés into costumes. I then thought to use the female form of 'bicho' instead, looked it up and found out its meaning. It'd sort of fit but I'm not sure if it's ok for a non-Brazilian/non-portuguese speaking gay man to use the term or if it'd be disrespectful/offensive.

Cheers for the help
