Do I move forward with low AFC?

I had my baseline yesterday and only had 2 AFC on CD2. Estradiol patch + ganirelix priming threw my body completely off and caused me to get my period very early. This happened to me last cycle too. Should I not be priming?

If I move forward with this cycle, I’m going to be doing MDLF protocol this time after antagonist only produced 3 eggs - 1 matured and didn’t make to blast. Last time my AFC was 6 but it was measured on CD5. I had 1 period in between cycles.

My doctor won’t retrieve unless there are 3 synced follicles. I’m just wondering if anyone has had success producing more follicles with MDLF over baseline or if I should just wait another cycle and try again, maybe without priming?

1 fertilized, get ready for another cycle?

I had my 1st retrieval Friday. We got 3 eggs, 1 mature and fertilized. I was on estrogen + ganirelix priming, which made me get my period way early then antagonist protocol 300 Menopur 300 Gonal, ganirelix mid-cycle and Hcg trigger at day 9. My main issues were follicle recruitment (only 2 were synced) and maturity. I’m remaining hopeful on my 1 egg but also want to start thinking about the next cycle since I realize my odds are low with 1. I’m wondering if anyone had similar results and what change in protocol worked.

First retrieval

I had my first retrieval today. My doctor made a one-time exception as she normally needs to see 3 synced follicles and I only had 2 with 1 lagging. I was fairly disappointed but then ended up retrieving 3 eggs! I keep going back and forth between feeling sad that it’s so few but also happy that it’s more than we originally thought. I also am worried about cycles going forward if I had to use the exception the 1st cycle. Do most doctors have this rule? Success stories on better subsequent retrieval?
