Why did my betta get color?

I've had him for 2 months now, he was my second betta i now have 4. His name is Blackbeard, and the store told me he was a cellophane betta. I thought that meant he was going to stay all white and translucent forever. But now he's started growing like patches of black from the base of his fins and tail. All along his spine, he's started to get speckels of red too. Can someone explain what happened to him? Is this from stress, or is he not cellophane? Is he going to continue to develop more color?

What is this?

Was doing a water change and noticed these lines in the biofilm that formed on the glass.

How to help with injury?

Just picked this female betta from the store and added it to my 13 gall tank because i only had my apple snail in there as I mourn the loss of my Nemo.

I was scared of picking her up because it reminded me of the tumor my Nemo developed, but she was in the tank with another female, so im guessing its an injury from them fighting and not a tumor? What's the best way to help her? The tank is already set up beautifully, and I just removed the old almond leaves i had and added fresh ones. What else can I help with the recovery?

I have two betta males, 1 of them i got is new (black beard), and 1 of them I've had for a month now (Mr,swimsalot). Both of them i rescued from horrible pet shops. Black beard was in worse condition cause they forgot about him, and the shelf he was on was super dusty.

Swimsalot is in a 15 gal while black beard is in a 5 gallon because he doesn't do tank mates and seems happy having it to himself, black beard has already started forming bubble nest while my other male has never made one? Is it because swimsalot isn't a fully mature male? Is he not happy? He's gotten his full color and fins are getting longer, he seems very happy and active so I don't understand why he never made a nest?

Black beard has been with me for only a week and has gotten more active since I first got them and loves exploring every nook and corner of his tank. Black beard has started his little nest and now I feel kinda bad because swimsalot hasn't.

Can someone explain it more to me? Does bubblenest really do indicate happiness or maturity?

Just introduced some new plants and a big driftwood and overnight there was a lot of algea all of a sudden. I thought I boiled the driftwood long enough (45 minutes boiling, two times)

Everything else seems fine tho, fish and snails happy, plants are growing quick so I really don't know why it happened
