Ride switching I think I figured it out.
As we all know there is an option for it. I have mine turned off. With it turned off I see I get offered a ride I like it accept it and a few mins later it says it’s canceled. It’s not the rider canceling to try and find a better ride it’s the app. Found this out on one of my rides this week. I was dropping a nurse off at a hospital. Got a ride from that same hospital, it was then canceled on me and I got another ride from same hospital. I went to pickup after drop off. And the original rider came to my car. As always I ask name and destination. They gave the original riders name and destination. I said no that’s not me. They said are you Michael(yes I am) but when they then looked at there app they saw it was changed to a new driver. Not me. I told them I’m sorry not sure why Lyft changed it but I’m not your driver anymore. So why Lyft do this bs?
