Mic picks up audio from desktop
Mic: Meze audio boom mic
Headset: Hifiman Sundara
Problem:
My mic picks up audio (very clearly!) from any desktop audio. This is apparent in voice calls like discord and teams, recordings and ingame voice chats. The strangest part is that the boom mic has a physical mute button. While this mutes my voice, it doesn't stop the mic from picking up desktop audio.
Lastly, this problem does NOT happen with my laptop. The problem only seems to be with my desktop PC so the problem lies somewhere there.
This doesn't happen with gaming headsets, wired or wireless.
What I have tried:
-flash and update realtek audio driver thing
-tried connecting the headset to pc using different usb dongles and connecting it directly to the motherboard. Using a usb dongle reduces the overall volume of the audio that gets picked up, but doesn't solve my problem. I have even tried using a splitter to split the out- and input but it doesn't help.
-Tried the headset on a different PC, this did fix the problem.
I'm now looking for help and things to try.
