DIY ink storage

I recently shifted to Mumbai, one of the most humid places in India. Living in Central India since the last couple of years, where relative humidity barely crossed 30%, I stored my inks in cardboard boxes lined with thermocol.

Since it started raining cats and dogs here and the humidity has spiked up to 96%, I started reading up about all the problems that it might cause to my inks, especially what people call SITB (Slime in the Bottle). I hate wastage and didn't want to see some of my precious inks turn putrid and unusable.

I am a DIY person and so, I did some reading and came up with a solution of sorts...

I went to the local mart and got home some dessicant, a moderately airtight container, took aluminium foil from the kitchen and used up some old foam sheet lying at home and improvised a bit and made this makeshift safety nest for my inks. It's not perfect, but atleast it'll be better than nothing... Hope it works 🙏🤞🙏🤞

Why buy cheap Chinese FPs when India has so many amazing options!?

I was just watching an Interview of one of the Indian pen manufacturers and listening to it, a thought struck me...

Apart from the rare few models of precious resins and transparent acrylic FPs, which come at a cheaper price point, why do Indian penthusiasts buy budget Chinese made FPs when we have so many great budget options from India which are equally good, if not better, than their Chinese competitors? It's not like Jinhao-s and Majohns have impeccable QC... If you are to leave it to chance in getting a properly working nib and feed, why not encourage our Indian brands like Beena (V'Sign), Click, Kanwrite etc. ?

I see this sub filled with people suggesting these cheap Chinese pens to beginners, but why not recommend Indian ones which you can get for as low as 150-300 rupees!? As it is, the Indian Manufacturing Sector is on the ventilator now, and these Indian pen manufacturers deserve our support... If we as a society have accepted subpar quality in our Air, Food, Pharma, Fuel, Politics and Service Industry, why not be a little less finicky towards our Indian FP manufacturing brands and lend them our support ?

Moonman website trustworthiness

Hi, I got an offer to buy this nib from someone... They are charging 1100/- for this...

On doing some digging, found out that moonman C1 is a direct fit for it... Am I mistaken?

Also, I've never owned a moonman, and want to avoid Shanti Impex.... Is this website genuine? Has anyone ever bought from this website?
