Modern drivers

Hey everyone, I could use some advice as I’ve really got the golf bug so far this year again after not being into it much at all for some years. I’ve been playing at least 1 time a week and probably 2 times at the range for the past few months.

I’m using a Taylormade Aeroburner 10.5 degree driver from I think it came out ~2015 at the moment and I was considering a new driver but I was wondering just how much of a difference a more modern driver from recent years would make?

From my own research, yea most people say get fitted. I’ve considered but I’m not sure if I’m ready for that yet as my swing is changing as I’ve been improving and it’s kind of expensive imo from the little bit of local research I’ve done. Maybe that’s a silly reason not to idk

Hey all, I’ve been playing again the past few months after having not played for a while and really enjoying my time with it. Currently my setup looks like this with older clubs:

Driver: Taylormade Aeroburner
Irons: Mizuno jpx 825 (4-GW)
Wedge: Just the one additional Mizuno MP series 56 degree

My main question is I’m obviously lacking fairway woods and my driver is not terrible but somewhat inconsistent so I was considering picking up a mini driver and utilizing it as a driver/3-wood that the goal would be for it to be a fairway finder that I can just feel confident with. Is that a good consideration or am I just in my head and should pickup some regular woods?

Also is my current driver too old? I’ve been reading a lot about how driver tech in the past 5 or so years is quite the difference

Thanks!
