Are the end times near?

I started ant keeping in this year's may, when I found 2 camponotus species queens, unfortunately 1 of them ended up dying.

Since then I have caught about 35 queens(12 remaining after filtering out all the escapees, dead ones, ones I released and infertile ones), about to hit the 50 queen milestone.

I need some help though.

Nowadays finding queens has slowed down since then, i barely find any queens in a week, even though the conditions seem perfect for a nuptial flight, I know a lot of the colonies must have run out of alates by now, but shouldn't newer species now have their flights now? Yet I don't find any new species.

Also I have kept them all in test tube setups, but I feel like it's about time I start getting new set ups, since these queens will have their first workers now, the orignal camponotus queen already has 8 workers but I have still kept them in their test tube set up, and it's starting to get moldy. What do I do? A lot of the set ups I find online are too expensive for me to get for all of them.

Pls stop with the relationship posts 🥹

So about 1.5 months ago I asked if podar schools are good or not, needed it for my cousin.

After a good while of discussion, we have landed upon a few schools, including podar's.

I would like to know how the experience is in them, would especially appreciate it if you are from Pune or mumbai

I am a complete beginner, I think I have posted here once or twice before, i have had 0 ant colonies before this.

I was strolling around when I saw that my local carpenter ant colony had hundreds of male alates outside it, I quickly got my stuff and captured 2, leaving the rest so that the local colonies don't accidentally get wiped (this has happened to me before at my farmhouse, where I destroyed their natural flights thinking it's an infestation and it led to invasives taking over the area).

What should I do next? As of now I do not have any test tubes, I have put them in a temporary makeshift setup, of plastic water battles with 1-2 small damp cotton balls. I have ordered some test tubes and they will arrive tomorrow. What else do i need?

I also think I injured one of the legs of one of the queens while capturing it accidentally, but she seems to move around fine.

Why is it all about some unemployed dude who clearly has nothing better to do rn and his gang, demotivating and insulting spreak?

I became interested in ants a few months ago.

There aren't many species near where I live, and sadly my none near my farmhouse as well anymore(the invasive crazy ants took over 😔)

Thankfully tho, there are carpenter ants near my, but recently I just saw, what seemed like a carpenter ant nuptial flight, it was almost mid night (11), unfortunately I wasn't able to spot any queen ant, and was i wasn't able to stay there for long since I had work in the morning.

Will there be more nuptial flights or the season is already almost over?

I'm also suspicious of the flight since it hasn't rained here for weeks

May is about to end, I won't be able to focus on queen hunting anymore.
