Context: I’m currently doing a challenge (This ain’t self-promo, the video isn’t linked to a YouTube channel and I don’t plan on doing anything with it, this challenge is for my own enjoyment,) where I attempt to beat all of black flag only using a throwing knife.

This means I cannot kill or knock out, or really harm npcs in any direct way. The only additional rule is I’m allowed to push or counter if I’m unable to use a throwing knife (push being just nudging into the npcs,)

After hours of testing, I couldn’t figure out a way to get past Duncan Walpole without punching him (I tried everything in the final fight I could, even sending him off the out of bounds ledge, but his npc is immune to fall damage.)

And then I found you could freeze his npc right before he shoots you by just not going to the final marker, and doing this, I attempted to kill him and head back to the marker (as a test,) and doing this led to a bug where the game wants you to kill him but he’s already dead.

And so I had to push him closer to the original marker so that I don’t lose him when I set off the marker from being too far, and I have to push him into the water and bolt to the marker at the end before he fully drowns, and doing this leads to what you see in the video.

I believe this may be the first time ever someone has beaten Duncan Walpole without inflicting any combat damage (this includes lethal and non-lethal.)

I’m curious if anyone else has found this glitch before, and if they have, have they done this with it before?
