New Function “Grid-Tied Output Power”

New Function “Grid-Tied Output Power”

Hey guys

I am using an Ecoflow Stream Ultra and a Stream AC Pro. Yesterday I figured out there a new function in the app called “Grid-Tied Output Power” or as I have the app in German “Dreiphasige netzgekoppelte Ausgangsleistung”

As I understand the function, it is possible — at least in Germany, where a house has three electrical phases — to connect one EcoFlow device per phase. The system automatically checks whether such a system is connected to a given phase. If this is the case, the legally permitted maximum wattage is enabled for that phase.

This means, for example, that if I have one EcoFlow device connected to each of two different phases, the system can feed 800 W into each phase. In total, this would allow for 1600 W of output if both phases simultaneously required 800 W.

In my initial tests, this solution works very well. At least I can see in the smart meter how the different phases are being controlled.

Since I currently have one Ultra and one Stream AC Pro, I am considering expanding my system with another battery. Up to now, I planned to get another Stream AC Pro and connect the dishwasher directly to it to use the Bypass function. However, I am now wondering whether this is still necessary or even makes sense, or whether a Stream AC (without Pro) would be sufficient, and whether it would be better to ensure that an EcoFlow device is connected to all three phases in order to feed in the legally permitted maximum power three times overall.

Purely in theory, it would also be possible to set the system to “Other Region” and therefore feed in 1200 W per phase, which with three devices would total 3600 W. Wouldn’t this make the function of the Stream AC Pro — which can output 1200 W per socket — obsolete?

Or am I missing something?
