29M

Started late but still optimistic about the future. This is exactly 1 year of growth and I think 12% is fantastic, I know not all years will look like this but I’d much rather contribute to my Roth than gamble on meme coins or other very volatile investments. 🎊

Any ideas for these beautiful containers?

Hey guys we were gifted these great clay containers but I’m stumped on what would do well in them. They have no drainage holes and I don’t have the tools to make any. Any suggestions are appreciated

First time

First time trimming up some indeterminate cherries for space management and for their benefit. Did I do ok or was it too much?

Should I prune?

Both of my cherry tomatoes have been doing great but it’s got to the point where I have to “dig” through them to check for cherries. Would you guys recommend trimming off any leaves where they’re most dense?

Tomato i.d

From what people have told me this tomato plant is most likely a husky red but now that it’s developed I thought you guys could help I.d. The second tomato is supposedly a sweet 100 and the third is a black cherry tomato. Is it possible to I.d with tomato shape or should I check back when color starts coming in?

Pic 1-2 husky (had a sweet 150 tag when bought)

Tomato stem snap

It’s the first time I’ve accidentally snapped a stem off of a tomato plant and need to know if I should trim it up and if I should leave it in water for a couple weeks or if I can put it in some soil straight away. Any help is appreciated

So proud!

This is my first year doing any gardening and am enjoying the journey so much! It’s the best to get home from work and see the little differences from day to day and it gets me more and more excited for my first harvest!

It brings me an immense sense of peace when I tend to my little garden and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Should I scrap this plant?

New gardener here and I’m worried about this strawberry plant. It was replanted 2 weeks ago(I’m in zone 7). The leaves are all leaning over and I actually let a runner take root next to it. Did I make a mistake doing so? You can see the runner more clearly in the third picture. I’d appreciate any advice

Strawberries tomatoes and zucchini

Hey guys new gardener here and just have a couple questions. I replanted these strawberries a couple weeks ago and unfortunately one of the pots got super soaked by my sprinklers but luckily the other was unaffected, is there anything I can do for it and do you think the plants will bounce back after some care.(Top pot in the pic, a little hard to tell but the leaves are mostly leaning down towards the soil unlike the healthy pot.) The tomatoes have been growing really slow bc of the weather in Ny but now that the temps have been rising are they going to begin to take off? And finally the zucchini really started off bad bc of the weather but it has shown consistent new growth. I’ve been covering them overnight to help with the temps which may have helped them stay alive but I’m just a little disappointed I made the mistake of planting them a couple weeks too soon. Do you think my little garden has a chance of taking off soon?

TLDR: Top strawberry pot was over watered and the plants are now dropping, will tomato’s thrive even after cold shock? Will zucchini be ok after same cold shock? Long Island NY
