Anne

So what is everyone’s feeling about Anne Matheson?

Personally not a fan. Here are my reasons.

Entitled and spoiled.

Until truly forced, always mooched off others. Her father, husbands and boyfriends, friends and her daughter.

And my biggest problem was stealing her daughter’s trust fund because she blew what her father left her. Of course she finds out that due to the banking crisis of the late 1980’s the money was lost.

When she was added as a full time member of the cast, I just forward through her scenes.

I know she has a fan base but for me the only time I can stand her a little is when she is left penniless and homeless and has start working, which leads to a talk radio show.

Number of episodes, do they matter?

So I have been thinking about the arguments for more episodes on modern tv shows.

This seems to be a big one with Star Trek with many saying the reason the shows don’t do so well is because they don’t have the time to tell a story and build good characters.

First of all HBO has done shorter seasons since its conception. Think of the Sopranos. They had 13 episodes per season and told amazing stories and created incredible in depth characters.

I also watch a lot of British shows and just watched Blue Lights. They have 6 episodes per season and the character growth and storylines are amazing.

I’m in the camp if the writing and acting is good It doesn’t matter how many episodes there are. These are excuses by fans and producers as to why their shows aren’t doing well and connecting with the characters.

I even sometimes feel some shows have too many episodes. I remember the CW superhero shows like the Flash and Supergirl dragging out a season with so much filler I would lose interest in the season.

How do others feel, more or less?
