Results beyond lead gen form/document ads?

Context: I'm experienced in the PPC space, spend most of my time in Google Ads.

I'm getting reasonable results with Lead Gen Forms connected to documents (high quality guides, checklists, etc.).

However, try as I might, I'm just not getting consistent results with other ad types (single image, carousel, video). I believe the landing pages are OK since they do alright on the G Ads side of things.

Anything I'm missing here? Do ya'll see the same?

Yes, LAN and audience expansion are turned off and I'm on manual bidding.

Seeing Chabad on Shabbat

Reform practicing here. Think no pork, yes cheeseburgers.
I have a good relationship with the Chabad house, which is only about a half mile away. Rabbi and Rebbetzin are friendly, my kid plays with their kids when we go there for festivals, etc.
Anyway, to get to my question. I often see them walking during Shabbat while I’m driving. As I’m happy to see them, I impulsively roll down the window and say hi. Sometimes just a hi back, sometimes chit chat.
Is it rude to say hi while I’m driving, which they of course don’t do on the Sabbath?

Clarification: I'm not driving to/from Shabbat services with them. I mean on Saturday afternoon they are walking and I'm driving while doing some errand.
