Okay, i'm starting work on a funny little animation idea I had. I'm using this website called "Wick Editor", a vector-based art, animation, and game dev platform. That's what i'll be using to make my animations. (if you're wondering what that cross is, don't worry about it.)

I also recently got a hand-me-down drawing tablet, got everything set up, this is the result! Expect ACTUAL ANIMATED CONTENT SOON, WOWZA!!!

But... it'll take some time for me to get back into the swing of things, mkay?

Expect things like some animation tests, voice acting tests, and such stuff like that!

(EVEN MORE EXCITING, once i'm done writing the series, i'll make a TRAILER for it!! WOW!)

The animation for the show will be rather ROUGH, but i'm mostly excited to show the story i have planned (The sneak-peaks i've posted have changed a bit... so don't expect them to represent how it'll be in the final product!)

Okay so to address the elephant in the room, this looks fine. It looks correct, but it's... off.

AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE OBVIOUS HEAD ROTATION AND SCAILING I DID. I usually move parts around to get them juuuuust right, like paper dolls.

Okay so about the art looking off to me; it's not just me, right? I can't put my finger on it, it... IT LOOKS WEIRD, BUT ALSO CORRECT. And it's probably not just the dreaded plantigrade legs that I chose to draw with.

Okay with that out of the way; i haveth announcements.

I'M HALFWAY DONE WITH WRITING THE SERIES!

Yeah, uhh... just halfway? Just halfway.

Once i'm done epicly writing i'll work on the scripts and such, and then storyboarding... you get it.

BUT... BUT BUT BUT...

maybe expect some short little test animations to be released, oooo! (They may or may not reflect the quality of the actual series)

Also I have a really cool idea for a teaser trailer for the series, I hope it gets people hyped up for the stuffs i'm cooking up!

And final reminder; yeah don't forget i'm like the only person working on this, and I still am rather inexperienced...? So don't expect breathtaking visuals or animation, as i'm focusing more on the story, mkay?

Eight is a Milky who may seem like a big A-Hole, but they're pretty nice... once you get to know them.

As a kid they were held up to high expectations, got straight A's, acted professional, and the other kids would always cheat off of their homework.

They liked another sawian back at the lab, they got made fun of for liking them. Their parents were ashamed of Eight, believing that they made milkys look vulnerable and weak. Now they keep their feelings locked inside their brain, believing emotion is weakness.

Anyways that sure is Eight or something. There's more about them, but i'll stop it there.

Yep, everybody's favorite fent addict, 023290, or "2-GO" coming to a life-pod near you to steal your stuff alongside their gang!

Back in the lab, they had a gig of hiring other sawians to steal stuff, so 023290 could sell them back! Using these sneaky theiving skills and "persuading", they have a small gang going, stealing from other sawians for their own benifit.

Do they feel bad about that? Do they ever want to leave behind this bad occupation from the lab and help sawians instead? NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT THAT, GIMMIE MORE F E N T!

Okay, no more beating around the bush. yes, I've used the simpler plantigrade legs. I probably shouldn't have pointed it out and made a big deal out of it just to continue using the plantigrade legs anyways, so now i feel sorta bad, but "que sera, sera" I suppose.

I'll be playing around with digigrade legs in the future, so don't be too bummed out i didn't wanna learn leg anatomy for a funny series.

As a reminder: each episode will be about 3.5 minutes long, but that's not too concrete. I'd estimate there will be 7 - 10 episodes in all, making for about 24 - 35 minutes of cool movie, beginning to end.

The ending may leave much to interpretation (if I ever feel like making a season 2, I could), and it'll be really bittersweet. So... just warning ya.

Thus far, I have every major event planned out, with 4 episodes' "gist" written out. (Gist, meaning fleshed out enough like a short-story book, albeit poorly worded and written, as it's for my eyes only. After writing every gist needed, i'll get the final episode count, and will start writing the scripts for each episode. Yes, this is how i work.)

Ok bye bye, next character will be a milky. And after that a Dune, and after that... NOTHING ELSE, because spoilers. And i gotta focus on writing the script.

YO!! THIS DESIGN ISN'T FINISHED!! CONSIDER IT A PREVIEW BEFORE I POST THE FULL THING!!

CONTEXT: A funny animation meme got sorta popular, and I wanna make a short series continuing off of it, delving into the backstory and... front-story(?) Of 69420. (Check out "the short life of 69420") now I don't think i'm great at drawing, but what I DO have... is a story I want to tell. This person in the picture is 023290, or "290" for short, or... "2-go". You'll see why I named them that eventually.

So... I've noticed that the L E G S I drew for the sawians (expies) were not the same type of L E G That the sawians canonically have. I probably would've not noticed this, if it weren't for someone telling me about it.

Okay, easy fix right? All i gotta do is draw a different type of L E G right?

Easier said than done, at least in my case. I have NEVER drew this type of L E G before, so i looked up some reference images and... tried.

Now, to you it may look fine, but ya wanna know how long it took to get the L E G S right?

30 minutes. As opposed to the simpler legs I drew, which took 2 minutes. And the 30 minute biblically accurate L E G S STILL look off to me.

So i'm at a crossroad.

Do I do the simpler L E G S, or the more complicated ACCURATE L E G S?

(Remember: I'LL BE ANIMATING THIS. And I've NEVER animated a walk cycle with the BIBLICALLY ACCURATE L E G S. Be on the lookout for animations with these goobers btw.)

The simpler legs are easier to make for me, WAY easier, and it'll be quicker. It looks more pleasing (to me at least). Also a reason (excuse) to use this type of L E G is that it's unique, and has been a part of my artstyle for a while. (For context i started drawing again in my free time JUST this year) It looks charming and not very weirdly realistic and contrasting with my overall cartoony artstyle. But most importantly; YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE L E G S UNTIL I MENTIONED THEM! (If you've seen my other concept art post).

But: the more accurate L E G S is faithful, and prevent confusion due to the simpler L E G S look like PANTS. But I assure you, THE L E G IS NOT PANTS. Quote me on that.

I'll be sure to add more fur and details down there to make it more apparent that it isn't PANTS.

But but (hehe funny word): there is ONE OTHER big reason for using the more accurate L E G S; "But it may pay off in the future, you'd get better the more you do it and practice! How could you improve as an artist if you don't go out your comfort zone?"

Okay, that's a good point. But counter point:

I'm already pretty far outside my comfort zone, animating, writing, designing, animating, and you get it. I'm a one man team, remember? (Aside from my friends who will VA.) I REALLY don't want to add drawing a new type of L E G to the list, that's something I'd rather do with projects that are more low-steak— i mean stake.

Or in other words: "I no-no wanna."

Think about this carefully; as my time and sanity is at steak— STAKE. I MEAN AT STAKE.

But... if it's the accurate L E G S you want... i'll do it... reluctantly.

Am I biting off more than I can chew as a one-man team (not counting potential VAs that are my friends)? Yeah, maybe. But hooow am I supposed to improve if I don't step outside the "zone of comfort" or whatever it's called.

Ya know... if I do this fast enough, i'll be the first ever Casualties: Unkown fan animated series (as far as I know), and HOO boy, it's great to be a founding father.

Anyways, if you're worried that the shows gonna suck, well, it IS my first time doing something like this, but so far; i'm REALLY proud of what I've done so far! (I have the gist of the entire series done and wrote summaries of 4 episodes.)

I'll be focusing more on the story and characters anyways, so don't worry too much about the art, maybe. (If it REALLY gets that bad, fine, i'll write a fanfic or something)
