The upcoming Apocalypse Warrior skins look interesting

Was just skimming through the Hero Gallery with my filter set to unowned, both curious what I had left and if anything new had shown up and I saw these. Have to say, I guess this is where the anniversary budget went.

Ramattra
Reinhardt
Emre
Venture
Ana

Not characters I would expect to be getting skins again so soon. Guessing Maid Ramattra was crazy popular and we did just get Ana’s second Mythic, but when was the last time Reinhardt got anything? And Venture is a surprise. Nice to see Emre getting attention as representing the newer part of roster.

Have to see, I pretty much did a spit take when I first saw these. Stumbled upon the Venture one first and, though not a character I really play, was definitely liking what I was seeing.

What do you all think of these? Seems a little early for Halloween, so I’m curious when they’ll be coming out.

Psyren is finally getting an anime

> Ageha Yoshina is a self-confident high school student who helps others for a fee. On his way back from a job, he finds a strange calling card with the word "Psyren" imprinted left behind in a phone booth and decides to keep it, unaware of its purpose. The very next day, Ageha discovers that his classmate Sakurako Amamiya has the exact same calling card in her possession. When he questions her, Sakurako asks him to save her, signaling the day his troubles begin.

> Confused by the circumstances of this encounter, Ageha realizes something is wrong when Sakurako goes missing. In an attempt to figure out what is happening, he decides to call the number provided on the calling card and is asked a series of questions by a mysterious voice, ending with a final, cryptic question: "Would you like to go to Psyren?" Thus begins two teenagers' participation in a game of life or death within a strange world inhabited by monsters called "Taboo." Granted the ability to use psychic powers known as "PSI," the duo fight to return to the place they call home.

It’s been ~20 years since this classic isekai manga came out. Published from 2007 to 2010, it unfortunately ended on a cancellation. Most have forgotten it by new and few even recall it as an isekai.

I just found out there is going to be an anime adaptation scheduled to come out in 2026. That’s a massive amount of time since. Luckily, it’s enough of a cult success and a rising modern buzz, it seems we’ll get to see the world hopping adventures in animation. Hopefully they do this IP the justice it deserves.

Using spoiler tags as though manga is ~20 years old, not everyone has heard of it, let alone read all 145 chapters. Figured spoilers warning would let those of us who remember it and read any of Psyren to wax about it and predict our thoughts about things the adaptation might change or how it might translate scenes into the screen.

The OG fans know that when that phone starts to ring, it’s about to get real.

TOS era Miranda class versus Anton class: Which do you prefer?

https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/USS\_Bombay\_(NCC-1926)

https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/Anton\_class

According to various offscreen sources, the Miranda class did exist in the TOS era and the Anton class/subclass was an offshoot design.

Both have distinctive looks to their aesthetics. Sure, you can see the familial connection (like with the Movie era Miranda class offshoots), but you can also pretty easily tell them apart at a glance.

So, just was wondering which of the two had the most fans in terms of how they approached the whole ‘TOS era Miranda class’ idea. Which of the two do you like better? Why?

Stumbled upon a Pet Appreciation Day post from Overwatch and, of course, it had the usual suspects, but also two I didn’t know have names….both from Mythic Weapons.

Only one, however, I couldn’t find anything about: Dipper, from Juno’s Mythic Weapon. Mean, Mercy’s friend Eleos is known enough all over the place, but every time I try to plug Dipper into Google I either get the Pet Day post image I’m including or stuff about Gravity Falls. Beyond a post on the subreddit for Juno mains, there’s like nothing about Dipper out there.

Was there any little fluff blurb for Dipper like Eleos got in patch notes? Any ideas why he’s so hard to dig up stuff on?

Figure this counts as a fan theory topic, so hope tag is right.

https://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Horizon\_Lunar\_Colony

Horizon is probably one of the least explored factions in Overwatch lore. We can confirm Winston and Hammond are from there and both resulted from transgenic experimentation done by humans. We also know the subjects eventually revolted and killed all the humans in retaliation for the essentially torture they were undergoing. Since then, we haven’t heard anything about what’s going on.

Fika is presented and implied to be more than just your average cat Brig found and adopted. How plausible is it she was another survivor from Horizon? Could she be a recent arrival they sent down to investigate how things are on the Earth?

Just a shower thought level musing. Fika could still have Earth based origins as well, but Horizon has been quiet in setting for some time. What are they up to up on the moon?
