Little known fact that actor Reg Varney was the first person in the world to use an ATM. He was chosen to be the first to try Barclays new machine on 27th June 1967 in Enfield High Street.

My mother died and left a will and no property.
The administration of her will has taken over two years and the statement shows that the solicitor has charged £19k including vat. Is this excessive given the relative simplicity of the administration of the estate?
