Help

• Tank Size 5.5
• Water Temp 80
• Ammonia / Nitrite / Nitrate readings included in comments.
• How long the issue has been occurring: maybe a few days ago I noticed

This is atlas🥹I will post when I first got him and water temp and water testing results in the comments. Last I checked there was no ammonia last week. I’m trying to keep my baby healthy and happy but I’m new to this and his poor fins are not as beautiful anymore I check on him daily and the past 3-4 days I notice this change in his fins since being in his new big tank (2weeks tomorrow he will have been in the new tank). I’ve had him for about a month now. I have asked for additional help and since yesterday I got the seachem stress guard. I notice he’s in his reflection a lot may be what is stressing him , I have been trying to cover his tank up not sure what to do . I plan on getting more plants and the proper testing kit as I only have the tetra strips for right now for him when I’m financially able this weekend .

This is my second post to this group. I love how informative and knowledgeable and kind everyone is .

However I’m curious as to what type of betta I have. I think he’s a Half moon but I’m not sure and I’m not sure how old he is either . I got him from a pet store it’s been almost a week since I’ve had him. I was informed they are released to pet stores 6mon-1yr he just seems so small . I’ll also take any other tips or suggestions for new tank and his keeper tank until he is moved to his new homes can’t wait.

Side Note: THIS IS HIS TEMP TANK. I just got him Last week his new tank and plants should be here tomorrow and I’ll have to cycle it. For right now I do water changes every other day and water testing he has a sponge filter in here as well .

This is my new baby boy. Here are a few clips of him in the past two days . The last one I did his water change and conditioning since he’s in such a small tank for a while . His name is Shark FastLane. His new tank will be here Friday it’s gotten delayed …… However I do have him I this temporary tank till his things come this Friday or sooner. I have this little sponge filter not sure if it’s good or not or too much, i also have the heater already but it doesn’t fit so

I took it out because somebody said take it out till the 5g comes…I have also removed those spiked plants that came with the lil tank set up as well. not sure if I should keep it in there or if it’s too much . I’ve had him for 2 days now. I’m new to everything and I’ve been trying to read up as much as possible . So far can anyone tell me if he looks okay? He’s eaten and swims up to me and very curious I’d say …. always follows me and stares lol whenever I’m in the kitchen.
