I designed this Heritage Threads T-shirt with a mix of modern style and heritage-inspired geometric patterns. I'm curious what you think?.

I finally launched my POD store on Zazzle 🎉 - what do you think?

I have been working on my African-inspired design brand, AfriNova Studio, and I have finally made the store public.

I would really love some honest feedback from other POD creators. What do you think of the branding, store design and overall direction?

Is there anything you would change or improve?

Be honest - I’m here to learn. 😄

Has anyone used Airtel Money or MTN MoMo virtual cards in Zambia?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into using a virtual card for online payments and wanted to hear from people who have experience with the Airtel Money or MTN MoMo virtual cards.

A few questions:

  • Does it work well for international online payments?
  • Has anyone used it for services like ChatGPT, Canva Pro, Netflix, Spotify, or other subscriptions?
  • Are there any issues with payments being declined?
  • How are the fees and exchange rates?
  • Any tips before getting one?

Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has used it. Thanks!

Anyone here using Zazzle for Print on Demand?

I’ve been researching different POD platforms and came across Zazzle. One thing that really stood out to me was how professionally some products are presented, the lifestyle images, close-up details, different product views, and overall branding feel.

I’m curious: does anyone know what tools creators use to achieve that level of presentation?

Are they mainly using:

  • Photoshop/Illustrator?
  • Canva?
  • AI image tools?
  • Mockup generators?
  • Other photography/editing tools?

I’m trying to understand the workflow behind those premium-looking product images before choosing my platform. Would love to hear what experienced creators use.

Update: I took your advice and made some changes

Yesterday I posted here because I was starting my first POD brand and wanted to learn from people who have experience in this space. I really appreciate everyone who took the time to share advice.

I have been thinking about the feedback, especially around understanding my audience, not rushing into too many products and making sure quality comes before scaling.

I decided to be more intentional with the launch. Instead of adding too many colors and variations, I am focusing on a smaller collection that feels consistent and true to the brand.

The brand I am building is inspired by African heritage, but I want it to feel modern, minimal and wearable not like a typical souvenir product. I want each piece to have a story while still fitting naturally into everyday life.

One thing I am learning is that building a brand is not only about creating designs. The product quality, colors, printing and the experience customers have when they receive the product all matter.

Still learning and improving as I go, but I am enjoying the process. Thank you again to everyone who shared their knowledge, your advice really helped me think differently about the next steps.

Starting my POD journey from Zambia- would love some advice

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the print-on-demand world and I’m excited (and honestly a little nervous 😅) to finally start this journey.

I’m building a brand called AfriNova Studio from Zambia. The idea behind it is to create modern lifestyle products inspired by African stories, heritage, and symbols but in a way that feels premium and wearable, not like typical souvenirs.

I’ve been working on designs for things like apparel, bags and accessories and now I’m trying to understand the POD world better.

I’m currently figuring out things like:

  • which platforms are worth focusing on
  • how to market designs when you’re starting from zero
  • how to reach customers internationally
  • what mistakes beginners should avoid

For those who have been doing POD for a while, what advice would you give someone just starting out?

What is one thing you wish you knew when you began?

Looking forward to learning from you all. Thanks!
