Jeep driver on Barton today

To the fella in silver 90s jeep (maybe a Wagoneer? with 90s “razor” style sunnies and brunette hair), who was driving westbound on Barton today, between Westwood Village and 35th… Thank you for honking at me to alert me that I was on the wrong side of the cones after the 7/11, before WWV. I’m sorry that I was mistaken and drove on the wrong side. I imagine that it was alarming, but I also know that it was very apparent that you were in no danger at all. To my credit the existing detour, signage and indicators are wonky and inadequate. I was in the wrong. I’ve had a a whole lot of terrible and ridiculous going on. Thank you for alerting me with your horn. However, flipping me off egregiously and yelling, “F!&$k YOU!!”, to me while continuing to lay on your horn, was utterly unwarranted. My daughter was in the car. It was a mistake. You were not in danger because we were in the section that’s two lanes wide on your side. I was going the speed limit… You weren’t, but that’s fine. It was an honest mistake. Nothing crazy was happening. The f— you’s and middle fingers, whilst swerving towards me and laying on your horn was a bridge too far… Just really not cool. Life’s hard enough, man. I’m a good driver. I follow the rules and I keep my head on a swivel. I’m courteous. This was just a gut punch I didn’t need and… just be nicer to people, you know?! Because you just don’t know what they’re going through.

The hornbeam in my front yard has become so dense and the arborvitae are so tall that they’re killing the plum tree and causing moss to grow in my yard. Any tips on how I can prune it to allow for more airflow?

One thing I want to be mindful to avoid is pruning the arborvitae in a way that prevents it from growing back and causes bald spots. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way.

Thanks in advance!
