Seeking help/advice

I was wondering if someone can help me understand an issue I've been having with my internet.

Every year when July comes around, I lose internet every 15 minutes for about 5 to 10 minutes each time. Every year the technician comes over and says that he doesn't know what the issue could be and he just changes the coaxial cable for a new one but the issue remains. They're the only internet providers in the area and I think they might not have the capacity to have so many people in a same node.

I'm just starting to study for my Network+ so that's why I think that could be the issue, but could someone with more knowledge let me know what the real issue could be?

Breezeline

I've been living in Callaway for 3 years now. The only internet provider in the area is Breezeline and my experience with them has been HORRIBLE.
Every year June/July come around and I lose internet every 15 minutes for about 5 to 10 minutes each time. I work from home so this is a huge issue for me. Every year they send a technician over and he always says the same "I don't know what it could be because everything seems to be okay" and he "fixes" the issue by changing the coaxial cable or by saying that the cables were loose, but the issue remains.

Being that they're the only internet providers in the area, my theory is that their servers can't hold the amount of households they provide internet to. Summer rolls around and you have the kids at home playing video games, streaming services, etc so obviously the network usage is higher.
Am I making any sense?

Does anyone else have this issue with Breezeline or is it just me?

Network +

Hello,

I'm wondering if someone can guide me and give me information regarding the Networking industry.

My background is in UX/UI Design and SQL (mid level). I decided to make a career change and SOC Analyst really caught my eye. I've been studying for the Security +, but given that I don't have any prior IT experience, I was recommended to study for Network + (even if I don't take the exam) just to be familiarized with firewalls, ports, etc. since it will help you pass the Security + exam.
I've been watching Messer's course videos for Network + and I have to admit that I've been learning a lot and questioning if I should just take the Network + instead and make a career in Networking instead of Cybersecurity (SOC).

What's the best piece of advice any of you can give me?

Apprenticeship

Hello,
I learned MS SQL watching videos, watching a Udemy course, and downloading different databases from the internet to create a portfolio.

I know that SQL is not enough to become a Data Developer or even a Data Analyst which is why I'm considering applying for a Apprenticeship Program.

Does anyone have any Apprenticeship Program to recommend or any experience to share regarding apprenticeships?

Resume building

Hello, this is my first time applying to federal/contract jobs and I'm updating my resume to the USA Jobs 2 page format, but I'm having some concerns.

I was wondering, is it okay to leave the Professional Summary section? I ask this because I tried building my resume with their own resume builder and noticed they don't have that section. I wasn't pleased with their resume builder version because the resume looks sort of vague.

Does anyone have a template that I can sort of use as a reference? Or any tips on how to go about the resume?

Maybe I'm stressing too much about this and might sound too desperate, but I need help so I can be considered for the opportunity.

Jr SQL Developer

I got into SQL because a friend is a data developer and got me into SQL and I've been enjoying it a lot. I just finished a course on MS SQL/T-SQL and I've been slowly building up my portfolio. Now that I'm done with my portfolio, I'm ready to apply to jobs.
I've been doing research and the job roles in the field are Data Analyst (other than SQL I also know Power BI), Data Developer, among other job roles.

Is there just a role for SQL Developer? because I have zero knowledge in Python.
if someone can guide me through this SQL/Data world, I will appreciate it a lot.

Escuelas Charters
