What software is used for this type of barber video editing?

Hi everyone,

I've been seeing a lot of barber videos on Instagram and TikTok where the editing looks amazing. I'm not talking about color grading or basic editing—I mean how they seem to digitally enhance the haircut by filling in low-density areas, hiding small gaps, cleaning up imperfections, and making everything look completely natural, even while the client's head is moving.

Here's an example of what I mean:

I'm currently using DaVinci Resolve Studio, and I've also experimented a little with After Effects.

So far I've tried using Magic Mask, Object Tracker, Power Windows, and even frame-by-frame masking to track the client's head and retouch low-density areas. It works to some extent on static frames, but as soon as the client moves, the result doesn't look nearly as clean or realistic as the videos I'm seeing online.

I've also looked into AI tools like Runway and other video enhancement software, but I haven't found anything capable of producing this level of realism.

Does anyone know what software or AI they're using to achieve this? Are they doing it manually with motion tracking, masks, and compositing in software like After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Nuke, or is there a specific AI tool or plugin that professionals are using?

I'm mainly trying to understand the workflow used by professional barber editors. If anyone has experience with this kind of editing or can recommend software, plugins, AI tools, or tutorials, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
