With all the updates and improvements, I really feel like my TB team is a legit college football team in the game. It has the same amount of respect and pageantry as the real teams. plus the gameplay is the best right now. It reminds me of the ps2 ncaa games how good it is.

In this economy, I call this combo 'Dinner'.
I think someone recommended the Safeway Deli sandwiches here a while back. I tried it out this week for lunch and the sandwich was very good.
They have a variety of sandwiches that go for $8.99. They beat the price at Subway and are far more of a superior sandwich than anything subway offers. I also think they're better than Ike's.
I also saw they have fried chicken , chicken wings, combo deals for I think $7.99. You can get a combo dark meat leg and thigh along with macaroni and another side plus other mix/matches. I may try that next time I'm there.
And the service was great. They didnt rush you like Subway and weren't cheap asses like Subway where say you ask for extra lettuce they put like 2 tiny pieces of lettuce on your sandwich.
I usually don't like making posts like this because it brings out all the racists but I work near Ohlone and usually take Mission back home to UC. But today I had to drop off a co-worker who lives in the Irvington Area.
So I'm taking Stevenson back to Mission and the lights are out on Stevenson and Fremont tonight. So when the lights aren't working, you STOP, LOOK, WAIT, then take your turn. People were following the rules at that intersection but when I got past Fremont Blvd, there are some smaller streets/intersections between Fremont and Paseo where the lights were also out.
So the same rules apply to all intersections when the lights are out. Stop, Look, wait your turn, then go when it's safe.
NOPE. THESE FUCKING DRIVERS WERE ZOOMING BY 35/40 MPH NOT STOPPING AT ALL down these intersections. Luckily there were not many cars going the other way but if there were, this was a death trap waiting to happen.
Really! Really! fucking pissed me off. So careless and could have ended up in an unnecessary tragedy.

In contrast, I lived in L.A. for a few years and it felt very segregated vs the Bay Area. I would start up conversations with different types of ppl like I would here in the bay and they would react awkwardly like why are you trying to be friendly with me lol

This past Friday one of co-workers at the office recommended a Chinese Restaurant I had never heard of called 'Special Noodle'. It is off Stevenson across from Albrae where the old Walmart use to be.
We were very pleased with the food there. A lot of us in our office talk about dining establishments in UC/Fremont/Newark and we always say how we don't have a real go to Chinese restaurant in Fremont (post China Chilli era) we all agree on liking.
But I think this one called Special Noodle may be the one that unites us all. They have a good variety of cuisine to order from like plate dishes, dumplings, soup, fried rice, etc... I think it's Cantonese cuisine from what one of our co-workers told us.
All the food was delicious and I felt like I would go back there or order as takeout in the future. First place since China Chili where I have felt like this.
The TV Ads I see for the congressional seat are 60/40 for Rakhi Israni and Melissa Hernandez. I have not seen one add for Aisha Wahab. Is she not serious about the seat? I'm just curious since she had a lot of tv exposure when she ran for the State seat.
Also, I try to research all the candidates and this Rakhi lady is somewhat mysterious. All her credentials seem to be from out of state and out of the area. I see she ran an educational company in the Bay Area but does she live in UC/Fremont/Newark? What qualifies her to take the house seat? She's just ran a business and not held any other government position before? Again, very mysterious. I guess Ro Khanna did the same thing when he moved here from Philly but I remember he had play machine politics and had to wait for Mike Honda to bless him after Honda retired from politics.
The other guy who has tons of commercials is Scott Sakahara (sp?). I know he's running for state senate and not the House Seat but he must have a lot of dough to be on tv ads almost 24/7.
btw - I got a 2nd ballot in the mail last week for Salwell's seat. So if you vote on the first ballot and the 2nd ballot for the same seat, which one counts? how does that work?
update - forgot about the govenor's race - so much bullshit flying around on the ads it's hard to like any of these guys. But I'm not voting for Steyer. I think we've seen what happens when we give billionaires power in gov.
I saw they tore down the old Wells Fargo. What are they planning to build there? Another apartment complex? I hope this becomes the new, new downtown Fremont since the original plans from pre-covid days seems like they will never happen.
Coworker wanted to get his free slice today at PMH. He texted back a picture of the line and it's wrapped around the building spilling onto Argonaut. If you still want to go probably going to be an hour or more wait to get your free slice.
Had to go to the CVS at the hub last night so thought I'd check out Pizza My Heart.
Full house. Positive vibes. It was great. I went ahead and decided to eat there and the pizza's were Pizza My Heart classic quality. Big Sur was just like I remember it. Delicious!
This is going to be the best pizza place in Fremont. Can't wait to go again. Also, looks like their delivery service is already up and running if you want to order a full pizza and not slices.
Finally something good has come to our city.
Having some relatives come visit next week from back East. They asked about getting French Onion Soup for dinner. I think the last time I had that in Fremont was when Elephant Bar was open. They served a decent French Onion Soup there.
Is there anywhere in Fremont/UC/Newark/Milpitas that serves French Onion Soup anyone can recommend?
