App Concerns
Strongly considering purchasing a Linea Mini or Micra.
Based on everything I’ve read, these machines have a reputation for extremely high build quality and durability, and with proper care and maintenance, I’d expect either one to last me a very long time.
My one concern is how integrated these machines are with the La Marzocco app. I have no doubt that the hardware itself is built to last. But I’m a little more hesitant about the software side of things. I’ve come across quite a few threads and reviews mentioning bugs and connectivity issues with the app. More importantly, I wonder what happens 5, 10, or even 15 years down the road if the machine itself is still going strong but the software, app, or connected services are no longer supported. It gives me a bit of pause considering the number of settings and features which are controlled through the app.
I’m planning on keeping whichever machine I buy for the long haul, so I’d be interested to hear what current Mini/Micra owners think. Is long-term software support a legitimate concern with these machines, or am I overthinking it?

Thanks to everyone who’s responded! It’s definitely reassuring to know that the overall user experience isn’t as dependent on the app as I had originally thought. Certainly alleviates my concerns. 🙏🏼
