Apartment hunting

Hi all, I’m really struggling with having a roommate and I’m looking for a new place for when my lease ends in September. I have great credit and glowing recommendations from all my former landlords. I’m looking to pay under $2k (+utilities) /month with onsite laundry in this general area. It’s just me so even a studio is fine but I don’t want to share living space with anyone so I don’t want to rent a room in a house, but I’d be fine if it was a snowbird/student situation and I had roommates for a small part of the year or being in an in-law apartment situation. Anyone have any leads?

I think I look my age…

People keep being or acting surprised though. So what do you really think and what’s the range where you wouldn’t be surprised?

Support clothing

I’ve been looking for tops with a built in bra and have been seeing a lot of post-mastectomy tops. Would it be bad to buy one when I haven’t had a mastectomy? Most have adjustability to fit inserts that I wouldn’t have to use but that could fit a regular bra insert in. I know some advocates don’t like when people outside of the target consumer use clothing intended for a specific population. I was wondering what the consensus was here though. Does anyone have a valid argument against someone with both natural breasts wearing clothing designed to support people post-mastectomy?

Grifters replacing signholders

Hey all! Just want to spread some awareness. I’ve seen an uptick on people downtown asking for money and being either aggressive about it or creatively convincing people they’ll pay them back and not. I know this isn’t new but just wanted people to be cautious because this week was the first time it happened to me while I was alone and decently vulnerable.

Some guy came up to me saying he was super embarrassed but needed money for gas because he was a grubhub driver and didn’t want to get dinged for being late which he would be if he had to ask a friend to bring his card that he had left somewhere and said he’d pay me back. I was wary but also kinda cornered. He gave me his number and let me make sure it worked so he could meet me to pay me back. He seemed really genuine. I’m working on not being so terrified of saying no to men but I’m not quite there yet. I’ve texted, he’s read them, I found him on cash app and made a request as well. I’m out of work so even though it’s small amount for a life/stupidity/naivety “tax” it does increase my disappointment in humanity more than it otherwise would.
