Tried upgrading my 2010 G37 Nav+Bose to CarPlay, got sent the wrong module. Anyone found a solution that isn't the ugly Tesla screen?

Yo. I've got a 2010 G37 with Factory Navigation (MAP/DEST buttons) and Bose audio. Head unit part number is 27760-JU50A.

I've been trying to get Android Auto/CarPlay into the car for a while now. Ordered a kit off AliExpress, but they sent me the wrong module and it wouldn't fit on top of my board. Turns out the seller says mine is an "SD version" and their kit only works with the HDD version or non-nav cars. Got a refund but lost the import charges which is annoying.

Attached is a pic of the board from the back of my screen so you can see exactly what I'm working with.

I really don't want one of those massive Tesla-style screens—they look awful and out of place. Happy to replace the screen if I have to, but ideally I'd want something that keeps the OEM look, maybe a 7-inch or similar with better resolution.

Has anyone with the SD Nav + Bose setup found a working CarPlay solution? Any specific sellers, brands, or workarounds? Cheers.

OEM-Style Head Unit & Ambient Lighting for '10 G37S

Hey everyone, just picked up a 2010 G37S and looking to modernise the interior a bit. Got a couple of questions.

  1. Head Unit / Screen Upgrade

I want to add Android Auto / Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth, but looking for a proper screen replacement rather than just a module that uses the existing screen . I've seen loads of AliExpress modules that plug in and overlay CarPlay on the factory display, but I want a replacement screen with built-in touchscreen as mine doesn't have it. Want to keep it looking as OEM as possible – not a massive Tesla-style screen . Anyone running something that fits the bill? I've seen options like the Nifty City and CarLinkLife one but want a full screen replacement rather than just the interface module .

  1. Ambient Lighting

Are there any specific ambient lighting kits for the G37? I know there's an OEM footwell lighting option available from Infiniti , but looking for something that covers footwells and maybe around the cabin too. If there's nothing specific, what are people using for good quality LED strips or kits?
