Old guy here kayak fishing SC salt marshes from an Old Town Salty. Love the boat but it's not the ideal set-up for motorization. I find myself wanting to fish father than my legs and these tidal currents will allow so I'm considering motorization just to help me get to my fishing grounds against the current.
Ideally I'd want something easy to set up for temporary use and minimal to stow while I'm pedaling my fishing spots.
I do not want to replace my existing pedals or have a more permanent bow mount. Am considering replacement rudder mounts or track or side mount options.
Latest consideration is the Bixby K1 on a side or the new rod mount.
But not sure if the power will be sufficient to assist against a 2-3kt current.
FWIW: right now I can pedal about 2mph against the tide for short distances (maybe 1km) but try to carefully judge the tides and choose my fishing spots.
Thanks for any input.

I’m looking a bed rack to occasionally use with my old Yakima Skybox 16bover my Diamondback tonneau. Looking at square aluminum extrusion like the Trukd and Uptop Overland but getting mixed feedback over whether the clamps are compatible with this style rack.

Does anyone have feedback? TIA.

Can I get some favorite grind settings with different roasts with that you guys are using on the 1Zpresso Q/Air?

Struggling a bit to find the right setting for medium roasts right now. AP is very hard to press at current setting of 1:3.1.

I’m also planning on trying some darker roasts and looking for a cheat sheet so I can quit wasting beans.

I just got an AP a week ago. Got myself a store bought bag of Bustello and was happy with the results.

I’m a simple man (lazy) with simple taste and I like my coffee black and rich. Those first few cups were a game changer. Plenty of flavor with none of the old bitterness of the K-Cups. So I got very excited.

I ordered a Q Air grinder and went to my local roaster for a bag of beans. I went with medium roast Brazil roasted the same day.

Set the grinder at 1.3.1 for what I thought would be a medium/fine grind.

15g of beans-250ml of water.

First thing I noticed press offered much more resistance.

I’ve been experimenting with steep times (1-3min)/stir/no stir/ and water temp but every cup seems to have a sour smell and odor.

I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong? Should I grind more course. Steep longer or just give up on this bag of beans.

I was happy with the Bustello but hate the thought of the bag growing stale too quickly.

Thanks for any input.
