I’m thinking about doing a 5 to 7-day Florida trip sometime this winter. Split the time between a couple of places rather than stay at one resort the whole time. I’ve been looking at different Florida vacation packages, but I’m not sure if they’re a good deal once you factor in what’s included.

Has anyone booked a package that worked out well? Just want to know what was included, what you paid roughly, and whether you’d book the same way again.

been slowly figuring out things i genuinely expected someone to have explained to me by now. how to read a lease properly before signing. what actually goes in an emergency fund and how to build one without it taking years. how to talk to a doctor like an adult instead of just agreeing with everything they say.

nobody sat me down for any of it. just kind of landed in my mid twenties expected to know things i'd never been taught.

the one that hit me hardest recently was learning how to negotiate. salary, rent, bills. turns out most things are more negotiable than i ever assumed and i'd been leaving money on the table for years just by not asking.

curious what skill or piece of knowledge made the biggest difference once you figured it out, and whether you wish someone had just told you earlier.
