Why am I having withdrawals even though I'm taking the drug?

I've been cymbalta for a little over a year, 30 mg twice a day. I'm having brain zaps all throughout the day even though I'm being very careful to take it every 12 hours. I take one dose with sugar-free cola (hoping that the fizz will make it dissolve faster) and one with water. I get shocked in my brain and fingers when I move my eyes to the side. It wakes me up sometimes, 2/10 experience.

Last year I got switched from Effexor because I was having constant withdrawals even when taking it twice a day. They did a genetic test and I do have slightly less CYPD26 function (one functional and one non-functional allele). I got moved to Cymbalta because it has a longer half-life and is processed by two enzymes.

For the past two months or so I've been having withdrawals again though. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to quit, I vibe really well on SNRIs :(
