Keeping throttle steady tips?

Hello,

I wanted to ask a few questions, I am currently completing my DAS course and had day 1 today and wanted the opinion of experienced riders and also those who have recently passed their full licence.

My instructor has asked me to keep the rear brake engaged at all times during the slow-speed drills.

I am great with the clutch but find myself either dropping off on the throttle or too much throttle, with not much consistency.

A lot of videos on YouTube say there is no need to drag the rear brake and just modulate the speed with clutch and throttle.

I really want to nail this. I’ve got another full day and then half a day before the Mod 1 test in Mitcham.

Any advice on keeping a steady throttle/Revs at all?

FYI I completed my CBT 4 weeks ago, although been driving a ca for over 10 years pretty much new to motorbikes.

Thank you
