I run a site called Uutter, there a collection exists for Ram Dass where there's about a million words transcribed from around 100 of his talks. It's freely accessible so people can search over those talks and read the transcripts. I don't make any money on this, it actually costs me 200-300$ a month to host Uutter.

I got the following notification this morning:

"Remove Your Media LLC is the authorized agent for Vermillio, LLC and on behalf of the Love Serve Remember Foundation ("LSRF"), which owns or controls the

copyrights in the recorded talks, lectures, and teachings of Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) (the "Works").

We have a good-faith belief that the website uutter.com, which appears to be hosted on AWS infrastructure, is publicly hosting complete, unauthorized audio/video recordings and full-length transcripts of the Works without LSRF's authorization, through the collection located at:

This collection contains over 100 individual pages, each reproducing a complete Ram Dass talk or interview in full, not brief excerpts.

I have two days to remove the collection. I find it pretty amusing and it says a lot about where the foundations priorities are. That collection barely even gets a hundred views a month but here they are coming after me for trying to spread his work and make it accessible to those with hearing loss.

Greedy individuals who do more harm than good, they make all that money off his work and can barely even put together a proper archive of Ram Dass' work.

This mod from the RamDass subreddit seems to be incapable of following one of the rules of his own subreddit and guidance from Ram Dass himself: Tell the truth.

First off, this mod is only claiming that this subreddit and r/BeHereNow are "compromised" because he tried to convince our top mod that he should be added as a mod because, he said: "I did such a good job moderating r/ ramdass for so many years and r/beherenow is his namesake / seminal book." Clearly this mod was hurt by not being allowed to be a mod on a subreddit in which he believed he was entitled to be.

Secondly, at no point have myself or my co-mod ever claimed to be officially or unofficially affiliated with the Love Serve Remember Foundation. This mod certainly seems to think they have some sort of authority with them. Why lie about this? Is the truth not enough for you?

Thirdly the links you provided as "evidence" are supposed to show what exactly? What is it you think you're proving here?

I find it laughable that my co-mod requesting r/BeHereNow and us requesting r/LoveServeRemember are acts of "hijacking" to you, because you seem to be very unhinged and making sensationalist claims because the truth far less supports your claims. I'm deeply sorry that my co-mod denied your request to become a mod on r/BeHereNow and that you have hurt feelings over it. Have some integrity man. Tell the truth instead of manipulating your subreddit's spiritual seekers. Shame on you.
