This community was so supportive of my face gains post that I am feeling brave enough now to share my body and hope it encourages others.

SW: 226 lbs
CW: 178 lbs (I think! I’ve dropped another 10 pounds according the scale over the last month and I’m worried it might be broken lol)
Height: 5’4”

I’m glad I have this full body reference from my heaviest - I wasn’t taking a lot of pictures back then because I hated my body so much. I gained most of my weight due to medication over the course of several years and I never got used to seeing myself so big in photos, so I avoided them.

This is the day I started Ozempic in April 2024 -> May 2026 wearing the same patterned pants which hang a lot differently on me. The second pic is two months after starting June 2024 (I dropped a lot over the first five months - 30 lbs from April to September 2024), and then two years later (June 2026). The third pic is Gnocchi & Nimbus, because they are cute.

I feel better, more confident, more comfortable and more at ease. I would like to lose more but if I don’t, this is great progress and more than I thought possible back then. My clothes fit me now, both old and new. I’m so glad I kept the green leopard shirt even if it didn’t fit well for a long time. Mallard pants are now too big. I either need to commit to wearing a belt with them, or I need to get them tailored.

Maybe my scale isn’t broken? That would be amazing.

The only thing I really had to give up is beer. It still makes me too full. I can have four cocktails but only one beer. The math knows what’s up. Otherwise, I still eat whatever - just a lot less and I don’t binge like I used to.

It’s good. I’m proud. Happy, even.

He’s got 8 extra toes total, he’s totally fine but he walks with an almost bulldog like stance because of his big ole thumbs. He doesn’t run, he gallops. Trimming his nails is an exact of stealth, I wait until he’s sleeping and move as fast as I can. He’s absolutely precious and I would die for him.

I don’t have a ton of action shots because my boy moves fast! Here he is in moments of rest and quiet and ruler of the cat tree. He loves shoulder rides and sleeping on my legs at night! He pees standing up and kicks litter all over my floor. He’s just the best, weirdest and most handsome little guy.

He’s blossomed over the last year into an affectionate, curious, and constant companion. He’s my shoulder buddy and office chair co-captain. I can’t imagine my home without him :)

Not shown: post poop zoomies, mousie mutilation, jumping hugs, following me through every room of the house, and the constant chatter as he watches us, birds, and my sweet orange man Gnocchi.

Yesterday marked seven years since we brought a shy little orange cat home from a rescue. I fell in love with him immediately because he had the sweetest little face. He hid for a couple of days while he was getting comfortable in his new home, but his real personality and sweetness started emerging almost immediately - he loves pets, praise, belly rubs, being picked up and held like a baby (hence the nickname Baby Man), and nuggets.

My favourite memories of him are the time we tried to give him some sushi and he refused it, only to steal it off the plate a few seconds later and run away absolutely convinced he’d gotten one over on us. That’s when we figured out he loves crime too. (For his gotcha day we ordered him some salmon belly and let him steal a piece - he loved it). We have a cat wheel and he’s the one who uses it, usually at night (other nickname: Night Runner) but he will absolutely run for praise and treats, making eye contact the whole time you’re telling him what a good boy he is.
He has the gentlest, most tolerant disposition. You can snuggle this man endlessly and he never uses claws or teeth, he’s so patient and loving. He’s got a soft purr, it’s really quiet but his whole body vibrates when he’s happy. When he’s really happy, his tail puffs up and it’s just the cutest thing. When he’s demands nuggets, he trills like a laser and it sounds hilarious when he runs while screaming.

I love this cat so much, and he loves us. He’s my husband’s soul kitty and I want at least another 10 years with this incredible cat

Makeup / haircut aside, I can really notice around my eyes, cheeks, and lower jaw. I have a neck again.
It’s been slow progress and I plateaued for a looooong time, but I feel so much better and more confident.

We had a big thunderstorm yesterday afternoon and Nimbus was keen to monitor. I am the humble observation deck.

Hags, I found the most amazing gold threaded fringed jacket this weekend and I am in love! It fits me like it was made for me, even across the chest, and has the most incredible texture and sheen!

(Shoes, bag, and top are also great second hand finds, does Poshmark count as a thrifting win??)
