Meet Robo

This is my new 6 week baby Robo! I got a call from my neighbor about two weeks ago telling me there was a kitten on her back deck. I wasn't home and called my husband who found the kitten dangling by his front paws from her deck, about a 7ft drop to the concrete. He had some bad eye gunk going on so he got an emergency vet visit where he got some ointment for an eye infection and fluids for dehydration. We also learned that his tail had been partially amputated due to injury so he's got a little wiggly nub. We watched videos from our back deck camera (that thing paid for itself within a month) and found which neighborhood cat was the mom and that she'd moved no other kittens to the deck (we're guessing that whatever happened to his tail happened to the rest of the litter). We set a trap for momma and miraculously caught her a few hours later. Robo was hissy and scared for a day and then quickly became a bouncy friendly little man! Momma is still scared around us but is not aggressive and has no issues with us handling her baby.

Bonus pic of momma at the end. She's not socializing with people but she's close enough to watch our intentions with her son.

This orange kitten really looked at the whole chicken and said: “Yeah… that’s mine.”
