If you commute daily, please check your UVA protection levels.

So I started my first proper job 3 months ago. I spend like 45 mins each way in the bus and I usually just lean my head against the window and zone out with my playlist.

I noticed recently that the right side of my face, the side that's always against the glass looks so much duller and has these weird tiny spots starting to show up. I thought it was just work stress but then I googled it and apparently glass only blocks UVB (the burning stuff) but lets UVA (the aging/pigmentation stuff) pass right through. So basically I’ve been slow cooking half my face for 90 mins every day. 😭

I researched sunscreens that actually block the deep UVA rays and ended up getting LRP sunscreen. If you’re a daily commuter, please learn from my fail and check your UVA protection levels before half your face gets damaged.

Why is the technical side of filmmaking such a total boy’s club?

I am doing research for a college media project on gender equity in the Indian film scene, and it’s just so depressing. Every time you look at BTS footage or crew lists for major movies, the technical stuff like lighting, camera, and sound is just an endless sea of guys. It feels so intimidating because if you're a girl who wants to handle heavy gear or run a set, society just assumes you'd rather stick to makeup or costumes. Like the gatekeeping is so real.

I was digging through youtube for my assignment references and saw a video from Rahul Puri podcast with Shernaz Patel. She was talking about how in theatre, the scene is completely flipped and women are actually ruling the technical and design departments, and that mainstream cinema desperately needs to catch up. It was such a validating thing to hear because it proved we can run the technical show, it's just the movie sets that are stuck in the past.

Why do you guys think mainstream sets are terrified of letting women run the heavy gear? For anyone here working in theatre or indie films, is the backstage culture actually that much better for women or do we still have a massive uphill battle?

My dead meme pages are literally paying for my scooty EMI now

So I bought a Fascino a few months back, but that ₹4,000 monthly EMI was giving me stress. Like even though it’s budgeted for, just watching that cash leave my account every month hurt my soul 😭

But I wanted to share a massive personal win today. I’ve been running a couple of random aesthetic and brainrot meme pages on insta for a while just for fun. I thought making real money through these things was impossible but I actually started monetizing them through a clipping discord server. They drop campaigns, you post their clips, and you get paid based on the views. Honestly thought it would be a total scam but my reach was decent and the payout completely covered my EMI this month.

Feels so weird that making brainrot content is paying for my actual fuel and scooty expenses now?? If any of you have dead pages or random accounts with okayish engagement lying around, definitely try to monetize them instead of letting them sit idle. Let me know if anyone wants the clipping server, I'll drop.

Edit: Many people are DMing, can't reply everyone. So guys the link is: https://discord.gg/zg3ZyrwHY

Last min Lehenga order in the US, and I’ve added another “wear once” outfit to my wardrobe

I ordered this pretty last-minute for a wedding and was fully expecting something to go wrong… but it actually worked out.

Now that the event’s over and I’m looking back at the photos, I’m in that weird phase where I can’t decide if I genuinely love the outfit or if I just liked it in the moment.

It also made me realize I have an entire section in my closet full of Indian wedding outfits I’ve worn exactly once and then never touched again because they somehow feel “used” after being posted on Instagram.

This one was from House of Indya, by the way. I found it while searching for Indian outfits online in the US, and since I didn’t really have time for a backup, I just took the risk.

So now I’m genuinely curious how does it look, and would you actually rewear something like this?

Do people really rewear Indian wedding guest outfits regularly, or are we all just quietly building ridiculously expensive closets full of beautiful one-time-use clothing?

Got these photos from a source. NGL this doesn’t even look like the usual celeb sportswear stuff. the whole cricket ball aesthetic- season ball red, the seam stitching, the gold detailing is actually kinda cool and the shoe looks way premium

One of the rarest tiny wild cats on Earth was photographed with a kitten near Delhi

Researchers recently photographed a Rusty-spotted Cat mother with her kitten in the Aravalli hills near Delhi, India.

Rusty-spotted Cats are among the smallest wild cats on Earth and are classified as "Near Threatened" due to habitat loss and fragmentation. They’re extremely elusive, and sightings of kittens are especially rare.

What makes this discovery encouraging is that they were found breeding outside protected forests, suggesting their population may be adapting and recovering in parts of India where they were once thought to be disappearing.

The first photo is of the recent sighting, the second photo is the first sighting done ever of the rusty cat in the wild.
