10,000 km on my 450X, here's the honest version

Crossed 10k km on my 450X recently so thought I'd share an actual ownership update instead of another first week review 😂

Overall I've been pretty happy with it. Still love how it rides and the scooter has held up well with pretty regular use.

But 2 things genuinely annoy me. The suspension can feel pretty firm on bad roads, the app has had its random moments

but at the eod it's my first child

Roommate appreciation post because she actually bought me a replacement instead of just stealing mine

so my roommate has been sneaking sprays of this new nykaa wanderlust mist i bought in my peach bellini scent, every time she heads out for her morning lectures. yesterday she came back with a shopping bag and handed me a brand new one from nykaa saying she felt guilty for finishing half of mine. I was ready to fight her over it too. because im obsessed

Got some tea on that private Nothing event guestlist

so someone I know who’s working behind the scenes on this upcoming Nothing event just told me the guestlist and it’s completely unhinged... we’ve got Zeenat Aman, Seedhe Maut, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sunny Leone, and Samay Raina all attending together like I’m genuinely trying to picture Encore & Calm chatting with Zeenat Aman while Samay is cracking jokes with Sunny Leone lol

Unpopular opinion: Constant begging isn't normal dog behaviour.

My dog used to be THAT dog who'd sit next to the dining table the entire time, stare at everyone eating, drool everywhere and try to sneak food whenever he got the chance. It got pretty alarming honestly.

Over the last few months I've been paying alot more attention to his diet instead of just filling a bowl twice a day and trying to incorporate a more high protein diet.. I started giving him bone broth instead of just water, omelettes as in between snacks, and switched from regular kibble to fresh food. I've been using Sara's Wholesome Food lately and usually rotate between all their flavours every week to up his protein intake.

I genuinely believe its because of the food, He's much calmer around mealtimes now. He'll still stare at me because... he's a dog 😭, but he isn't constantly trying to steal food anymore. His energy also feels way more consistent. Plus his tummy feels likes hes full for longer.

Maybe I'm just paying more attention now but a good diet makes a very big difference, my dear pet pawrentsss.

Any maintenance habits that actually help EV scooters last longer?

I've owned my Ather for around a year now and apart from the usual tyre pressure checks and brake inspection, I'm honestly not sure if there's anything else I should be doing.

For ICE bikes everyone has advice, For EVs, there doesn't seem to be much discussion beyond software updates.

I wanted to know from long term EV owners, what maintenance habits have actually made a difference?

If someone opened your Spotify right now, what decade would they think you live in?

Mine is all over the place. 😭

I don't really listen based on artists anymore. I just open whatever playlist matches my mood. Sometimes it's 90s Bollywood, sometimes Hot Hits India, sometimes Lofi Beats, and sometimes I just end up browsing the RADAR India playlist. Btw, the RADAR India playlist has actually been pretty good lately if you're into discovering emerging Indian artists.

Would your Spotify library make people think you're stuck in one era, or is it complete chaos like mine?

How have I never heard of this guy before?

I came across Marcin this week and I've probably watched 15 videos since then.

I honestly don't know how I'd never heard of him. Then I found out his videos have hundreds of millions of views and he's been touring all over the world.

If you've never seen him play, it's worth looking up just to see what he's doing with an acoustic guitar. I don't even know what to call that style.

Anyone else discover him only recently, or am I just really late?

Anyone else still check the Rewards section on Amazon Pay?

I don't use Amazon Pay for every UPI payment, but I still open it every now and then to see if there are any offers worth using.

Today I noticed one where sending ₹1 via Amazon Pay UPI unlocks a ₹50 cashback on a Amazon Shopping order (valid till 15 July). If you're planning to buy something on Amazon anyways, it seems like an easy way to save a little extra.

Do you regularly check these offers before making a purchase, or do you just stick to whichever UPI app you use most?

Remember the kid from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.? He's now sharing the screen with Arshad Warsi again.

I had no idea until I came across this comparison.

Vir Hirani played Short Circuit, the little kid from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. who shared a few memorable scenes with Arshad Warsi.

Fast forward more than 20 years, and he's now playing Pedro in Pritam and Pedro, acting alongside Arshad once again.

It's one of those small full-circle moments lol. Going from being a child artist in one of the most iconic comedy films to becoming Arshad's co-star years later is pretty wholesome.

Gurgaon folks, would you choose a scooter or a bike if you had to commute here every day?

Need some advice.

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I'm planning a big surprise. Originally, I was leaning towards getting him a scooter because let's be honest this is gurgaon

But recently he's been become obsessed with motorcycles. Every other day he's sending me reels of retro lookin bikes, watching reviews aand talking about how "they just don't make them like this anymore."

His current favorite seems to be the Triumph Bonneville T120. I didn't get the hype initially was researching and its the same bike in dhurandhar as well xD

So now I'm confused.

If you lived in Gurgaon and could only pick one, would you choose practicality or something you'd genuinely look forward to riding every day?

I have 3 serious competitors and honestly I can barely keep track of one properly

I’m running a small startup in a pretty competitive space right now and one thing stressing me out lately is competitor tracking. The problem isn’t that I don’t know who my competitors are. I know exactly who the 3 biggest competitors in my market are. The real problem is I genuinely can’t keep up with all of them properly at the same time.

One competitor is constantly changing website messaging and pricing. Another is growing aggressively through creators and social content. The third keeps getting PR mentions, hiring aggressively and launching new campaigns every few weeks.

Meanwhile I’m trying to manage product, customers, hiring and daily operations with a small team. So what ends up happening is I only deeply track one competitor at a time because tracking all three manually across websites, social media, reviews, hiring, ads and positioning changes honestly feels impossible. And the scary part is I constantly feel like I’m missing important market signals while focusing somewhere else.

How are other founders handling this without building an entire internal research team?"

Why do new movies by these foreign return directors or actors feel so out of touch

I watched a new movie over the weekend and honestly it got me thinking... is it just me or do all these upcoming actors and directors who go to london or LA for film school come back and make stuff that feels totally disconnected from us? like bhai nobody in India actually talks or lives like that in real life it's like they lose the local vibe completely.

pata nahi maybe it's just the exposure difference. I was watching that whistling woods podcast on youtube while eating where samar khan was telling rahul puri how just surviving on an Indian set for years teaches you stuff no foreign course can. and it kinda clicked... out there it's all theory and global perspective but here you actually have to face the audience and the mitti you know?

Obviously some people study abroad and still make mast relatable stuff so it's not totally black and white. But does going out actually create this weird gap or do they just not know how to apply what they learned back home... idk man what do you guys think?

If you commute daily, please check your UVA protection levels.

So I started my first proper job 3 months ago. I spend like 45 mins each way in the bus and I usually just lean my head against the window and zone out with my playlist.

I noticed recently that the right side of my face, the side that's always against the glass looks so much duller and has these weird tiny spots starting to show up. I thought it was just work stress but then I googled it and apparently glass only blocks UVB (the burning stuff) but lets UVA (the aging/pigmentation stuff) pass right through. So basically I’ve been slow cooking half my face for 90 mins every day. 😭

I researched sunscreens that actually block the deep UVA rays and ended up getting LRP sunscreen. If you’re a daily commuter, please learn from my fail and check your UVA protection levels before half your face gets damaged.

Why is the technical side of filmmaking such a total boy’s club?

I am doing research for a college media project on gender equity in the Indian film scene, and it’s just so depressing. Every time you look at BTS footage or crew lists for major movies, the technical stuff like lighting, camera, and sound is just an endless sea of guys. It feels so intimidating because if you're a girl who wants to handle heavy gear or run a set, society just assumes you'd rather stick to makeup or costumes. Like the gatekeeping is so real.

I was digging through youtube for my assignment references and saw a video from Rahul Puri podcast with Shernaz Patel. She was talking about how in theatre, the scene is completely flipped and women are actually ruling the technical and design departments, and that mainstream cinema desperately needs to catch up. It was such a validating thing to hear because it proved we can run the technical show, it's just the movie sets that are stuck in the past.

Why do you guys think mainstream sets are terrified of letting women run the heavy gear? For anyone here working in theatre or indie films, is the backstage culture actually that much better for women or do we still have a massive uphill battle?
