I was NOT prepared for grade 10 physics...
Back when I was in grade 9, I developed a love for physics. I would reach out to my teachers after school and ask them questions on parts I got confused about. I was always the class topper, scoring 100% on exams, my teachers praised me for it and I felt good about it.
But that's when grade 10 came, and I was not expecting much based on previous experiences with how easy it was. (But it's mostly because it was just a section in the science subject so it's not like a deep dive into physics) Basically how grade 10 works in my school is that you get to pick 3 subjects you will dedicate the rest of your school year to. I picked Physics Chemistry and Computer science. But it was a huge struggle because I no longer listened in class I was too confident in my abilities on physics and spent most of my time on other subjects. I no longer reach out to my teacher for extra help on things I didn't understand. That's when I got my results on my first paper, I failed. I was utterly devastated, I wanted to study but now I have lost all confidence in it. But because I can't switch subjects now I'm stuck with it so I was forced to suck it up and push through.
Now I'm in grade 11/12 (grade 11 and grade 12 is a combined grade where I will take a final mock exam that pretty much decided my entire future, fail and your screwed) so I'm looking to really get back on my feet, ive missed so much of grade 10 physics and I'm afraid I can't catch up with my peers. I have made this post in hopes that you can give me advice on what I can do right now, what should I focus on etc because I dont know what to do.
