I was gifted a single skein of this gorgeous Heather wool and made a 'cat sitting star'. It has met with approval! Must be the only thing I intended for my cats that they actually use.
My hybrid witch/vampire can transmogrify things. I have never seen this before. Where has it come from?
She also has a hidden pyromaniac trait that I cant account for. Both her parents were criminals, could it be that?
I am constantly annoyed that the create-a-style doesn't have a pink pallete, but has all the other colours ready-made, without using the wheel.
I also think that you should be able to assign a colour pallete to a sim, and all their clothing will be those colours when they age up, or change outfits.
Maybe its just me?
I've seen a lot of people wanting help with naming their sims and I thought I would share my name list that I keep in my notes for my occult world. Some are made up, some are from books or tv series/films, some are fairly 'normal'. Whenever i hear a name i like, or that i think fits a certain occult type, i add it to the list.

Just casually practising my magic while my husband burns to death. He shouldn't have beaten me in that fight.
I didnt know that the fire spell could do more than singe. Pleasantly surprised. My evil witch needed something else after breaking up two families with her affair and terrorising the town with random spells.
So I thought it might be good to have some sort of reference for hybrid portrait colours.
This baby's mother is a witch, her father (pictured) is a vampire. Her portrait colour is more red than the normal vampire pink. When she ages up, I'll know if she has both occult interactions.
If anyone else has hybrids, could you post a picture of their portrait colours on this thread? I would find it very helpful. Thanks in advance!
So, it was my birthday yesterday and I got Into the future for the first time. My partner is fantastic, so took the kids out and I basically had the whole day to play. I am big on storylines, so this is what I came up with:
Dominic, an unstable, robot loving eccentric is ecstatic when a time traveller ends up on his front lawn after having some kind of technical failure. As a reasonably competent Inventor, Dominic is able to get Emit (love the back to the future reference there) back into the continuum and, having no friends or family ties to twinbrook, decides to go with him to the future.
Oasis Landing is everything Dominic was hoping for. The food synthesisers, the dream beds, the drinks are a little oily, but the hoverboard soon becomes one of his favourite things, walking is sooo 2026! Determined to learn as much about this advanced technology as he can, he immersed himself in learning everything he can and spends a day reading (his skills were basically non-existent when he left the present) and taking a robotics class, finding it much more rewarding than inventing.
After hearing rumours of a crashed space ship (wish I had put seasons on as well now, having an alien baby after being impregnated by a ship would have been fun - my computer can only hack 3 expansions at once and I always have ambitions and generations and swap out the third, depending on my save) Dominic hovers into the wastes, finds several nanites, weird plants and some parts to a mysterious key, which he finally manages to complete and gains entrance to the ship, finding some treasures and a rather ominous 'volcano room'. (I don't like to complain, as I do like that you can keep going back and getting different loot every time you open the door, but I feel like there should have been a secret button/passageway/stairs/door or something, leading you further into the ship? Something different for each alternate timeline? Maybe I just got spoiled by WA.)
After grabbing the lottery numbers, Dominic returns home, buys a ticket and wins 7,000, allowing him to buy a robotics station and start designing nanites and trait chips, in the hope of becoming a legendary pioneer of plumbotics. His first robot, Una, holds a special place in his heart and doesnt get sold with the others (Clink, Clank, Clunk and Clonk 😆) keeps his house clean, cooks for him and keeps his crystal garden alive before going to work at the High Products Business Building to help fund Dominic's studies (and get her out of the house and making friends, humour chips don't socialise themselves you know!)
Dominic wakes up feeling out of sorts one day (thanks, unstable!) And steals a meteor magnet from Emit when he drops by for a chat. Thinking "what harm can it actually do?" He uses it multiple times, starts a chicken little following (genius sims are not taken in by this, which I thought was great) and manages to convince a bunch of sims that the environment is, actually, trash. Lo and behold, his unstable rampage has consequences! Emit drags him back to the future to show him what he has done.
Dominic is shocked by the change in Oasis Landing, food scarcity, power outages, trash everywhere, hardly any robots anymore! After his descendants refuse to open the door to him, he goes to the Nuts 'n' Bolts emporium to stock up on blank processors and is drawn towards a teen aging up. Jessi Bannister entrances him with her quick wit but her fatalistic views sadden him and he wants to show her that life can be better than the world she currently inhabits.
After asking her to go steady and adding her to the family he brings her back to the past and confesses his part in making the future a distopian mess. Jessi is, rightly, horrified and refuses to marry him unless he fixes the mess he created. Scanning some laughing sims is easy when you have a good sense of humour and your jokes always land and the town centre was soon filled with whimiscally colourful, if a little sticky, sims.
Travelling back to see if their efforts made a difference, both Jessi and Dominic were thrilled to find that Oasis Landing had become a jewel-treed, rainbow lit paradise! Jessi finally accepts the ring that Dominic had been carrying around and they go on a day-long date, seeing all the sights, trying out zero-G and fine future dining and ending up at a robotics competition. (Una is still at home, keeping everything running smoothly.)
Then I noticed it was 1am and went to bed.
Dominic needs to traverse the wastes to find the uber nanite, so he can reverse engineer it, create the sentence chip - which will obviously go to Una before anyone else - and complete his lifetime wish. Jessi, after growing up surrounded by trash and sickness, wants to become a world renowned surgeon, so after returning to the present, she will start working hard to accomplish that goal before starting a family with Dominic.
