Possible antique hand-painted copy of Heinrich Vosberg’s “Alone” (1887)? Looking for identification/help

Hi everyone, I got this old canvas painting at an auction in IL and was able to identify the image as Heinrich Vosberg’s “Alone” / “Einsam und Verlassen” from 1887.

I found references online to an 1894 Chicago Tribune art supplement print of this image, but my piece appears to actually be painted on canvas rather than a paper print. Approximate size is 17x30 inches, which seems much larger than the known 1894 paper print versions I’ve found online.
Wondering your thoughts on this and if I should take to an auction house.
