Thoughts on George Michael Tribute Acts?

At this moment of time, there are two tribute acts that I would consider very good and credible tribute acts of George Michael.

The first of course being Rob Lamberti, who has dedicated years to perfecting the act as close as possible and preserving the love of George Michael which has been amazing to see when I would read the comments for his online content.

The second would be Steve Michell, who I think also does a good job of performing as George Michael, the original bassist of Wham! Dave West also endorses and plays with him on tour circuits which I believe gives him credibility.

I believe tribute acts can be a very good thing if done right and the time and devotion is put towards, 90% of what I see is a singer looking at tributes and saying “I can easily do that” and just throw on a costume from Amazon without any care or attention to detail.

I just thought it was an interesting subject as I know a lot of people find tributes quite poor in taste or cringe at the mention of them, but would love to know other own opinions on this.
