Shoreline river Salmon gear?

I’m trying to get set up for cast and reel Salmon fishing from the banks of the Rouge River, and the Willamette in the future.

what are people using as far as rod and reel set ups/specifications?

I think I want a bait caster set up, but want to hear any input you have. what length, LW, and action are your rods? What are your reels rated for? And what type of bait/lure jig whatever are you using?

thanks!

How can I connect my Massimo solar panel up to my renogy 50a dc-dc charg controller?
I already have the charge controller rigged up in my van and charging my battery via the alternators. I also happen to have the above solar panel and was curious if there is a way I can use it? There only one wire coming out of the panel with a connector that doesn’t exist on the Charger, any ideas?

apart from the connection, would my controller be able to handle this panel correctly?

Hey! I’m curious to ask about the crews on the Willamette NF. Anyone have experience with McKenzie River or the MiddleFork crews? Does Sweet Home have a crew?
This is my 2nd season on a T2IA crew on a different forest but am curious to move closer to family in Eugene.
Hows the crew culture? Are they full 20man crews? Thanks in advance
