Just had to pay $5 AUD to avoid losing a 560 day streak :(

My partner and I do the daily Bandle together every day and it's our little ritual together (for 560 days so far!) We both love Bandle and appreciate all the work that goes into it 😊

Usually we can watch an ad if we've ever missed a day and it's never been a problem. We did today's Bandle (not realising that we'd missed yesterday's) and the option to replay only came up after we'd done today's guess. The only options we had were to pay $1.99 to keep the streak or skip and restart, so I paid $1.99 not realising that it wouldn't actually let us go back and play the previous day. So then I had to pay another $2.99 just to play yesterday's Bandle too. I'd definitely suggest making it clearer to players that the $1.99 option only lets you keep the streak and doesn't let you actually replay the previous day.

I turned on our heat pump yesterday afternoon and it immediately started blowing a foul urine stench. It genuinely smelled like a pub urinal on a Saturday night, so much so that I wondered whether someone had actually pissed on the outside unit. Turns out that a pissy heat pump is usually caused by a bacterial or mould problem within the drainage system itself. I'm also immunocompromised so I'm not particularly keen on getting sick from this bullshit.

So I called the real estate straight away and our property manager had already left for the day (surprise surprise) but the receptionist promised she'd email her ASAP.

We get an email reply this afternoon: first an automated email for 'Job request: quote for new bathroom, toilet and laundry – update' and then another one from the agent 4 minutes later letting us know that our lease isn't getting renewed.

Notably there's no mention of the heat pump and it's still blowing out pissy air this evening when I tried again. So now I'm playing the world's worst game of would you rather - sleep in a freezing house or have it stink like piss and get mould poisoning.

I've lived in rentals my entire life, including throughout my whole childhood, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Fuck these real estate agents and the slumlords that uphold this entire bullshit system.
