Hello, I'm currently working on the third EP of a concept that consists of a space radio show that collects music from signals picked up across the universe to be played by the radio hosts. Similar to what The Weekend did with Dawn FM but the radio show aspect being more prominent. I'm even coming up with fake ads that play in commercial breaks. Those same ads will give clues of a larger story over the course of the radio shows.

The problem I have is trying to tell a cohesive story that doesn't overshadow the music and vice versa.

Anyone here that is currently working or has worked on concept albums, could you provide insights on making a concept project? Was the concept something that evolved over time? Was the concept fully drawn out before producing it?
