I present to you! My first EVER mini!

I didn't really follow the box art , especially with the darker bronze trim, but I love how they turned out. Of course there are inconsistencies but I have no words to describe how proud I am! Tips are definitely welcome though!

Painting my first mini's!

So I have been into the warhammer lore for about a year, and now I really want to paint some mini's of course! Now the choice was either between the salamanders or the thousand sons, and well, you guys won!

I really enjoy the lore and I think the details will make for a fun challenge. One small issue though, because I have never so much as touched a mini, i have no clue where to start, so I'm going to need your help.

First of all, what mini's should I start with? I want to keep the price around 50 bucks and just get something relatively doable to get the feel for it. I have looked on the warhammer site but I have no idea what minis I should pick up first.

Then, what paints should I buy, and what brushes, and glue, and god knows what other tools might be required for this hobby, i tried looking online but there are just too many different tools and paints listed.

Finally I need some tips for techniques of course, I have heard terms like dry brushing but have no clue what it means, though it seems pretty important to at least know what I'm doing and not just smacking some paint in the middle of a thingamagig.

I know that this is quite a list of questions so I don't expect you guys to write entire books in the replies, so any videos or sites you believe will help are of course very welcome.

All is dust!

P.S. I am nor planning on getting into the game itself anytime soon, so no need to account for that...
