Wanting to try and sell custom keyboards.
I may have the ability to sell custom made keyboards as well as custom made USB-C cables. I would go out of my way to grease the stabilizers, lube switches that need lubing, add custom keyboard mods, and put together the USB-C cables by hand.
I understand there's Keychron out there as a retailer for custom keyboards and coiled cables, and I may not be able to compete price-wise with their exact pricing. But I would be able to offer custom keyboards with mods done for around $300 NZD (depending on the PCB, keycaps, and switches ordered in) for the custom keyboard.
For those who have either ordered from Keychron or have other retail boards from brands like Razer, Logitech, Turtle Beach, SteelSeries, etc., and were going to get a custom made keyboard with nicer sound and typing feel than generic retail brands to fit your desk aesthetics:
Would you see the $300(ish) price tag as reasonable?
Also asking custom keyboard enthusiasts in case there is anything I could be missing from this?
