I don’t know what to do now ….

I am a 45 years old female and I have had pulsatile tinnitus for over 1 year now. It’s left sided and head positional and stops with jugular compression.
I have had an MRI, MRA and MRV TOF, a Doppler scan, a standard CT scan and most recently a CT Venogram. I have also had an iron infusion and a fundus eye exam. I have had to pay for all this privately.

I have paid Dr Jeremy Lynch a consultant Interventional Neuro radiologist for a second option. The first time was back in November when he checked my MRIs. He thought he saw signs of IIH as I had a kink in my right optic nerve, flattening of the backs of the eyes and an empty sella.

So he has just checked my CT Venogram and this is all he said -

I have reviewed your CT venogram and agree with the reporting radiologist’s findings.

In particular, I can see no evidence of venous sinus stenosis.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Dr J Lynch
Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist

So I literally feel like I have exhausted all scans, I have seen numerous different consultants and there seems to be no cause.

Is there anyone else out there that has been through the same situation where no cause is found constantly or can anyone maybe suggest what I could do next to try and find out what’s causing it?

Thankyou 🙏

Where do I go from here?

I have had pulsatile tinnitus for just over 1 year. It’s left sided, head positional and worse on exertion. I also have an echo sound when tapping the back of my head. I can stop the sound with compression. I have previously had an MRI, MRA, MRV no contrast Time of flight, a CT scan no contrast and a Doppler scan. All clear.
Now I have just had a CT scan with contrast which has also come back clear.

I previously got a second option on my scans and Dr Jeremy Lynch thought I had signs of IIH. So told me to get a scan with contrast. So I finally did it and am disappointed that nothing was found. Should I also send this scan for a second option from Dr Lynch? He is an Interventional Neuro Radiologist. Is it possible he may find something that a normal radiologist would miss?

At this point I am wondering what is causing it - literally they are finding nothing. I was so sure it was going to be a Venous sinus stenosis.

I am feeling so broken. It has to be something.

Advice needed on an 18 year old and being inappropriate

I have a 13 year old daughter that uses Snapchat to talk to her friends.
She is home educated but goes to a drama school once a week.
She mixes with all different ages and a few older boys were kind to her and it was purely being friendly and helping her find her way.

But one of the boys who was 17 (since turned 18) was talking to her on Snapchat and playing Roblox together. It seemed innocent at first and she would always tell me what they talked about. But then I can see my daughter was getting a crush on him and we talked about it and she knew that’s all it was and nothing could ever come of it. Well he finds out several months later and changes from being nice to her to bullying her and being very mean online. He then starts talking to one of my daughters friends who is 12 and starts flirting with her and sending her inappropriate memes of a sexual natural, he was calling her gorgeous.
He also invites 12-15 year olds to his house party’s where there is alcohol involved. He is always flirting and being inappropriate with young girls. But everybody loves this guy and I don’t know what to do. Should I report him for being inappropriate? I can’t go to the drama school as his mum is the one who owns it.

Is this really a Vestibular migraine?

I am a 45 year-old female, and I’ve been having this weird problem with my ears for around eight years. It happens once a year. The same time of year October/November. I have seen numerous doctors and ENT specialists and they say either Eustachian tube dysfunction or vestibular migraine. The last consultation I had I was told it can’t be Eustachian tube dysfunction because that wouldn’t cause the symptoms I get in the pattern I get them.

So I randomly get sudden Hyperacusis, pressured blocked ears, bad headache, nighttime dizziness/falling sensation, muffled hearing. The pressure in my ear is not relieved by making them pop or taking nasal steroids.
I do not get problems with my ears any other time. But it’s come to the point where I’m actually just dreading that time of year coming because I know it’s going to happen at some point and it’s not as if I’ve been ill first it’s just really sudden out of the blue.
Can anyone help me discover what this is? When I’ve had my ears looked at when it’s actually happening apparently they look perfectly healthy and fine. No fluid buildup, no wax.
